The current odds from the Jazz and Clippers at Oddsmaker has the home team LA Clippers favored by -5 points with the over under in the game lined at 192 ½ points. A money line wager on the favored LA Clippers will return -220 odds to bettors. If you believe that the underdog Utah Jazz can pull off the straight up win tonight on the road your return is +180 odds for your wager on the money line.

After a lengthy six game win streak the Utah Jazz has suddenly dropped two straight and three of their past four games. They are coming off a home loss last night to the Sacramento Kings by the score of 104-103 laying -7 ½ points as the favorite. Utah defensively over their past five games has allowed opponents to average over 104 points per game. Center Al Jefferson has stepped up for this Jazz team with 21 point per game average and 10 ½ rebounds pulled down over his past seven games.

After poor road play with three straight losses the Clippers have righted the ship with four straight wins on their home court. LA was able to deliver a win thanks to a Chris Paul late bucket in their 98-97 home victory last night against the Portland Trailblazers as a -9 ½ point betting favorite. The Clippers recent slide has come due in part to their defense. Despite piling up victories the Clips is still defending poorly allowing opponents 46.8% shooting over their past five games. The offense is carrying LA right now as the club is sinking nearly 48% of their shots in that span of games.

The trend is one sided recently in this matchup as Utah has simply owned the LA Clippers as the Jazz have covered the pointspread in four straight and 8 of their past 10 meetings on the court.

It all gets started at 1PM Eastern Time on ABC Television as the Chicago Bulls hit the road for a monster game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Oklahoma City has the look of the Western conference representative in the NBA Finals come June. They went into Staples Center on Thursday and beat up the LA Lakers pretty good. Chicago has health issues as Derrick Rose is fighting a groin injury that has kept him out of the lineup for several games of late.

Lebron James and his Miami Heat will travel to face the Boston Celtics over ABC TV at 3:30PM Eastern Time. Boston and Miami met back on December 27th in Miami where the Heat earned the 115-107 home win as a -9 ½ point betting favorite. The Heat had an outstanding shooting game making 56% from the floor and 6 of 10 shooting from the three point line.

NBA TV at 6PM Eastern Time will televise the pro basketball game between the Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic. Both teams are like Yoyo’s going up and down with good and bad performances all season. Orlando will make the playoffs but Denver is fighting for a spot in a very competitive Western conference.

The nightcap over national television will feature the upstart Minnesota Timberwolves as they head to the Pacific Northwest to face the Portland Trailblazers at 9PM Eastern Time over NBA TV. The Minnesota Timberwolves is one of those teams in the lower half of the Western conference bracket and are too fighting for a playoff spot. Portland heading into Friday’s action is three games in the loss column behind the eight seeded Houston Rockets. Don’t’ write off Portland yet because they will be enjoying some home games and could keep them in the playoff hunt throughout the month. Each game is huge now for Western conference clubs.

The Final Four location for the two games on Saturday will be the Superdome in New Orleans Louisiana with national television coverage for both games over CBS for your watch and wagering pleasure.

The opening game from the NCAA Tournament Final Four will tip off at 6PM Eastern Time as the Louisville Cardinals from the Big East conference battles the Kentucky Wildcats out of the SEC conference. Kentucky is the -8 ½ point favorite at Oddsmaker with the total coming in at 137 ½ points. The Louisville Cardinals has peaked at the absolute best time with nine straight wins entering play on Saturday. After winning four straight games in the Big East tournament they have strung out four wins thus far in the NCAA Tournament. After beating Michigan St in the Sweet 16 they rallied to beat Florida in the Elite Eight 72-64 getting +1 point. Kentucky has steamrolled opponents in the NCAA Tournament with four wins by 12 points or greater. In the Elite Eight they defeated Baylor 82-70 as a -7 ½ point betting favorite.

Immediately following over CBS at 8:45PM Eastern Time the Ohio St Buckeyes representing the Big Ten conference will go head to head with the Kansas Jayhawks from the Big 12 conference. Ohio St is favored by -2 ½ points right now at Oddsmaker with a total of 137 points. Ohio St was tested in recent games with a 15 point win against Cincinnati in the Sweet Sixteen and in the Elite Eight it was the Buckeyes defeating another Big East team in Syracuse by the score of 77-70 as a -2 ½ point betting favorite. Kansas had the easier road to the Final Four facing softer competition leading up to the Elite Eight contest against North Carolina. Again Kansas benefited from good fortune as they defeated a banged up Tar Heels team playing without their point guard by the score of 80-67.

ESPN TV NBA Pro Basketball Sports Betting Match Up Previews for Friday

Wednesday, March 28th, 2012

There will be an ESPN TV doubleheader of NBA pro basketball scheduled on Friday night. Game 1 will feature the defending World Champion Dallas Mavericks paying a visit to Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. The nightcap will see Chris Paul and his LA Clippers hosting the Portland Trailblazers.

The NBA action over ESPN TV will get started at 8PM Eastern Time with the Mavericks and Magic. The Orlando Magic has won three straight games leading up to their Wednesday night game at the New York Knicks. The Magic continues to launch three pointers as their fate is usually determined whether or not those long outside shots are falling. Orlando hits on 38.4% from three which is 2nd best in the NBA. Dallas will be in a bit of a tough spot on Friday night as they will be facing the Miami Heat on Thursday night. Heading into Thursday the Mavericks were on a two game win streak and six wins over their past eight games. Dirk Nowitzki has gotten his act together on the offensive end of the court since the All Star break and has moved up his point per game average up to 21 points a game.

Immediately following over on ESPN TV at 10:30PM Eastern Time it’s the Clippers and Trailblazers. The Clippers were under some turmoil as the club has not met the expectations on the court. Following a 0-3 road trip the team has won two straight at home entering play on Wednesday night against Phoenix. What we have seen from the Clippers in recent games has been horrendous play on the defensive end of the court. Heading into Wednesday’s game the LA Clippers have allowed their past five opponents to shoot for a mind numbing 50% from the field. The Portland Trailblazers are suffering through a bad year for their standards. Entering play on Wednesday they sit four games out of the eight spot in the Western conference and will most likely be a lottery team in the 2011-12 season. The problem all season with this team has been the inefficient play of their three guard rotation of Wesley Matthews, Jamal Crawford and Raymond Felton. With all the changes the team made at the trading deadline they are still left with their three bad parts.

TNT TV NBA Pro Basketball Sports Betting Match Up Previews for Thursday

Tuesday, March 27th, 2012

With the NCAA Tournament winding down NBA pro basketball starts to heat up as we finally has some monster matchups on the court which provide for outstanding watch and wagering opportunity. The TNT doubleheader will feature the Dallas Mavericks at Miami Heat in game one and the nightcap will feature the Oklahoma City Thunder at the LA Lakers.

Bet the NBA on TNT on Thursday at Oddsmaker sportsbook, where bettors can now claim their 100% match bonus up to $1000. Sign up today and get into the excitement of wagering on the NBA!

The action over TNT on Thursday will begin at 8PM Eastern Time as we have an NBA Finals rematch of a year ago as the Dallas Mavericks will travel to play the Miami Heat. These two teams met on opening day in the NBA on Christmas Day where the Miami Heat earned the 105-94 road win at the Dallas Mavericks as a -4 ½ point favorite. It was all Miami in this game as they held a 97-65 lead after three quarters in the blowout victory. Lebron James went off for 37 points in the win with 11 of 19 shooting and had 19 trips to the free throw line where he made 15 of his shots. Miami will be an angry team on Thursday as the club has lost two straight games with both on the road. They fell by 16 points at Oklahoma City on Sunday and the following night at Indiana dropped a 105-90 decision. Heading into Tuesday’s action the Mavericks has won five of their past seven games.

The disgruntled Derrick Fisher who was traded away from the LA Lakers has this game circled on his calendar as the TNT TV doubleheader game has the Oklahoma City Thunder will travel to Staple Center to face Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers at 10:30PM Eastern Time. Entering their Tuesday night game at Portland OKC is riding a three game win streak and a three game lead in the Western conference over San Antonio. There is lots of drama in LA following Kobe Bryant’s benching in the Lakers 102-96 home loss on Sunday night to the Memphis Grizzlies. Bryant had downplayed the issue with his head coach Mike Brown so he may play with a bit of passion tonight in front of a national audience to make amends for the team’s poor showing last time over national TV.

New Orleans Hornets at LA Clippers NBA Pro Basketball Betting Preview

Monday, March 26th, 2012

In the late night nationally televised NBA pro basketball game the New Orleans Hornets will make the journey out west to face Chris Paul and the LA Clippers on Monday night. The Hornets and Clips will begin from Los Angeles at 10:30PM Eastern Time and its NBA TV providing the live national television broadcast.

Bet the NBA tonight at Oddsmaker sportsbook, where bettors earn a 20% reload bonus every Tuesday and Thursday. Sign up today and build up that bankroll for the NBA playoffs which are just a month away!

The current odds at Oddsmaker has the home team LA Clippers as a -9 ½ point betting favorite tonight with the total at 181 ½ points. A money line wager on the favored LA Clippers will return bettors -600 odds. If you think the New Orleans Hornets can get the outright win tonight your return on the money win is a hefty +450 odds for your wager.

The Clippers are out to revenge a 97-90 road defeat to the New Orleans Hornets on Thursday night as a -4 ½ point favorite. It was a game that saw the LA Clippers get outscored in the fourth quarter by a 21-11 margin. The game made national news as Hornets forward Jason Smith committed a flagrant foul on Clipper forward Blake Griffin which resulted in a two game suspension. As Griffin was driving to the basket for a patented dunk Jason Smith gave him what resembled to be a football block that sent Griffin hard to the floor. There was no fight back from LA or from head coach Vinnie Del Negro who has come under fire. Del Negro doesn’t seem to fight enough with the officials for his players as the Clippers have been the victims of some physical play of late as the rest of the league looks to retaliate after getting posturized by the many Blake Griffin monster dunks.

A check of the standings finds the LA Clippers just 1 1/2 games ahead of the ninth seeded Denver Nuggets. There is a log jam in the Western Conference as just four games in separates seeds 4-11 in the Western conference. Only Oklahoma City, San Antonio and the LA Lakers seem assured of a playoff spot but eight teams are vying for the final five spots in the west. Denver, Phoenix and Minnesota are the last three teams currently out of the playoffs. LA Clippers cannot afford any more bad stretches the rest of the way.

The current odds posted at Oddsmaker has the Big 12 conference team the Kansas Jayhawks favored by -1 point with an over under lined at 143 ½ points.

The Kansas Jayhawks has been able to survive two nail biters to reach the Elite 8. They were pitted against the Purdue Boilermakers in a Round of 32 game and escaped with the 63-60 win as a -8 point betting favorite. In a Sweet 16 performance on Friday they ousted North Carolina St by the score of 60-57 laying -8 ½ points. Their last loss came in the Big 12 conference tournament semifinal game to the Baylor Bears by a score of 81-72 as a -6 ½ point favorite. The Jayhawks has struggled shooting the basketball over their past two games as they could not reach greater than 38% from the floor despite the wins against Purdue and NC State. Kansas has not shot well from beyond the arc and was a pathetic 7.1% on Friday night.

North Carolina opened play in the NCAA Tournament with two very comfortable wins as they defeated Creighton by 14 points and Vermont by 19 points. They survived a scare in their Sweet 16 contest by defeating the Ohio Bobcats out of the MAC conference on Friday night 73-65 in overtime as a -10 ½ point betting favorite. North Carolina despite being hit with injuries has been able to defend very well allowing two of their three opponents below 40% shooting. In their Round of 32 victory against Creighton the Missouri Valley conference club shot just 41.2% from the field. Looks like North Carolina will be without guard Kendall Marshall with a broken wrist injury suffered in the Creighton game. They survived the Ohio game without them and face a more difficult test today against Kansas.

Ohio St has shot no worse than 44.8% from the field in the NCAA Tournament.

Syracuse began play in the NCAA Tournament with a closer than expected 72-65 win against North Carolina Ashville. They then had a solid performance in the Round of 32 where they beat Kansas St by 16 points. They are coming off the 64-63 win in the Sweet 16 against the Wisconsin Badgers as a -3 point betting favorite. The Orange has adapted well without Fab Melo. Following their win against UNC Ashville the Syracuse Orange shot 51.1% from the floor in their rout of Kansas St and made 55.1% of their shots against Wisconsin on Thursday night. Syracuse has been hot from the three point line as they made 66.7% against the Wildcats and 55.6% against the Badgers. The Syracuse Orange is an underdog for the first time this season and was lined no less than a -3 point favorite in any game this season.
