The current odds at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have Verrazno the co-favorite at +350 odds in the wagering. Verrazano will be wearing saddle cloth number 14 and is undefeated in his four starts. Aboard the co-favorite in the race will be John Velasquez and is trained by Todd Pletcher. Verrazano earns a co-favorite role off impressive wins at the Tampa Bay Derby and his last time out on April 6th in winning the Wood Memorial.

The three year old colt also at +350 odds in the wagering will be the number 16 racehorse Orb. Riding this well bred colt with AP Indy as grandfather and Unbridled his grandmother will be Joel Rosario with Claude McGaughey the trainor. Orb has won three straight after two fourth place finishes and a third place finish in his first three starts of his career. Orb is the winner of the Florida Derby and won the Fountain of Youth Stakes five weeks earlier at Gulfstream Park.

A horse catching the eye of the media at Churchill Downs in the Kentucky Derby is the #3 Revolutionary. He has gotten early action in the wagering and is now the third choice in the wagering at +500 odds. He has the veteran of Churchill Downs aboard in Calvin Borel and Todd Pletcher is the trainer. After breaking his maiden at Aqueduct in early February Revolutionary won back to back stack races with his final prep for the Derby being the Louisiana Derby where he took first place.

The Southern California based Goldencents is the fourth choice in the current wagering at +600 odds. This three year old trained by the 2012 Kentucky Derby winning trainer Doug O’Neal. Goldencents is the winner of the 2013 Santa Anita Derby and sadly none of his competitors at that Derby prep on April 9th will be making the trip for the race.
