Peyton Manning has a Super Bowl victory over the Chicago Bears in the 2007 version. Three years later in 2010 Manning and his Colts suffered a 31-17 defeat to the New Orleans Saints as a -4 ½ point wagering favorite in the Super Bowl. The first game of the doubleheader will get underway with the LA Clippers continuing their Grammy road swing as the pay a visit to the Windy City to face the Chicago Bulls. The Clippers and Bulls will get underway from Chicago at 8PM Eastern Time with ESPN TV providing the coast to coast broadcast. This will be game number five of their long seven game road trip for the LA Clippers. Prior to Wednesday’s action the Clippers are 2-1 on the trip. They continue on without the services of Chris Paul who will be sidelined about a month with a separated shoulder. We have seen an upsurge offensively of late by the Clippers as sharp shooter J.J. Redick has returned to the LA lineup after an injury. Redick hits 36.6% from the free point line and is fourth in scoring as he averages over 16 points per game. After moving out Luol Deng the feeling in Chicago is the team is looking toward to future to rebuild around Derrick Rose. The Bulls point guard will likely miss the rest of the season with his knee injury. Like last year when Derrick Rose missed the season for Chicago the Bulls are playing well defensively but struggling on the offensive end. The team is 29th and second to last in the league in scoring offense and field goal shooting.

The late night game will feature two Western conference clubs as the Minnesota Timberwolves hit the west coast to face the Golden St Warriors. TNT TV NBA Pro Basketball Sports Betting Matchup Previews for Thursday

Tuesday, January 21st, 2014

The NBA on TNT will feature two matchups from NBA pro basketball on Thursday night January 23rd. The action gets going from the TNT doubleheader at 8PM Eastern Time.

Bet NBA pro basketball at Oddsmaker sportsbook, where bettors can now Claim their Free 100% Bonus up to $1000. Sign up today and get into the excitement of watching and wagering on NBA pro basketball all the way up to the Finals scheduled for early June!

It gets underway with Game 1 as the LA Lakers will continue their long Grammy road trip to face the Miami Heat. They get underway from Miami at 8PM Eastern Time over TNT TV. The Lakers have begun this six game east coast trip with a 2-2 record and have been very competitive in their past three games. After losing by seven at Phoenix the team picked up wins at Boston and Toronto prior to a 2 point overtime defeat at the Chicago Bulls on Monday night. The team will have Tuesday and Wednesday off in South Beach to get ready for the Heat. Miami has gone through their worst slump of the season. Heading into their home game on Tuesday with the Boston Celtics the Heat have dropped four of their past six games with three losses coming in a row in that stretch. They have given up 100 or greater points in each of those losses. When they didn’t give up 100 or more points they have won in that stretch. We have harped all season that Miami was setup for a down regular season to their standards. Having played in three consecutive finals it figured the wear and tear from playing basketball from the October to the end of June each season for the past three years would impact this team. As a result Miami ranks 23rd in defensive field goal percentage and 25th in three point defense. Don’t be surprised if Miami concedes the East to Indiana and begins resting and limiting minutes to starters the rest of the season.

The night cap will be a Western conference affair as the Denver Nuggets will hit the road in the Pacific Northwest to play the Portland Trailblazers. The Nuggets and Trailblazers get underway from Portland at 10:30PM Eastern Time on TNT TV. Portland is in a very bad spot here having completed a four game road trip on Tuesday that saw the team play four games in five nights and having one day off to face Denver after the trip. Head coach Brian Shaw of the Nuggets has changed the team back to a running style that may suit them here against a tired Portland team.
