The second game on national television will feature two Western conference playoff contenders as the Dallas Mavericks will hit the road to face the San Antonio Spurs. The Mavericks and Spurs start from San Antonio at 7PM Eastern Time over NBA TV. The San Antonio Spurs concluded their long rodeo trip and in their first home game back earned a victory against Detroit. As they host Charlotte on Friday night the team was sitting just 1 ½ games behind the slumping Oklahoma City Thunder for the top seed in the Western conference. Dallas is in the sixth seed out west and holds a 2 ½ game lead over the ninth seeded Memphis Grizzlies. Dallas will host Chicago on Friday night leading up to their game with the Spurs. Heading into their Friday night contest the Mavericks had won four straight and eight of ten games.
