A check of the playoff races and we find the Indiana Pacers holding a three game lead over the Miami Heat for the top spot in the Eastern conference as the Pacers will visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. When Indiana hits the court on Monday they will have just 12 more games left to be played on the regular season schedule. The Pacers will need to avoid overlooking this game with the Chicago Bulls because up next on Wednesday night is a monster game at home to the Miami Heat. As Indiana heads into action Saturday the team had won four of their past five games as they bounce back after a four game losing streak that started on March 4th with a home loss to Golden St. The Pacers have played outstanding defense throughout the season but the offense has hit a drought recently as the club has had problems reaching 100 points. Indiana has gotten 100 points in just two of their past ten games and they came against bad playoff eliminated teams in the Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers. Indiana is the number one team in scoring and field goal defense as the Pacers give up just 92 points a game and 41.6% shooting. The Chicago Bulls will be hosting the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night prior to their matchup with the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers and Bulls met back on March 21st at Indiana and the Bulls dropped a 91-79 decision as a +6 ½ point wagering underdog. So Chicago looks for revenge on Monday. Heading into Saturday’s action the Bulls sat at 38-31 with the team sitting in the fourth seed in the Eastern conference. They hold a one game lead over Brooklyn for home court advantage in the first round.
