The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the home team Chicago Blackhawks favored by -150 odds with the take back on the road underdog LA Kings at +130 odds. The goal total came lined at five goals for the final game of this series. Those betting the puck line with the Chicago Blackhawks and laying the -1 ½ goals will get back +200 odds. Bettors choosing the LA Kings on the puck line and taking the +1 ½ goal head start will have to lay -240 odds for their wager.

The Kings and Blackhawks have put together an exciting series. No lead has been safe as both the Kings and Blackhawks have battled back from deficits and each has posted a road win. The Los Angeles Kings will be playing their third straight Game 7 of these NHL playoffs as they needed seven games to dispose of both the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks. By the way, each Game 7 in those two series saw the Kings go on the road to win them. LA has faced six elimination games and has won each time as they trailed the Sharks 3-0 and the Ducks 3-2 to rally to win those series. In the Western conference finals the Kings were up 3-1 and saw the Blackhawks rally with two straight wins to force the Game 7. We have seen a trend of high scoring games in this series since the Blackhawks won 3-1 in the opening game. The Kings and Blackhawks have gone over the total in their past five playoff meetings in this series. After a slow start to this series Patrick Kane has contributed heavily in wins in Game 5 and 6.

The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the home side Oklahoma City Thunder favored by -3 ½ points with a total lined at 207 points. Those betting the OKC Thunder on the money line will lay -165 odds with the return on the road underdog San Antonio Spurs bringing back +145 odds for a bet on the money line.

This series has been dominated by the home team. In the three games played in San Antonio the Spurs have won by 17 points or greater in each game. The two home games for Oklahoma City in this series were won by the Thunder by 9 points or greater. The Spurs took a 3-2 lead with a Game 5 victory against Oklahoma City by the score of 117-89 and easily covering as a -5 point favorite. The game was leveled after one period then the Spurs dominated the rest of the way by outscoring OKC by 28 points in the win. Once again at home in this series the Spurs shot over 50% and shot well from the three point line. San Antonio has shot poorly at OKC in this series as they have been held to 39% in both Games 3 and 4 that resulted in Spurs defeats. Serge Ibaka returned to the Thunder lineup in Game 3 and was playing his first road game of this series in the Game 5 defeat. Ibaka was not effective as he scored just six points and pulled down a very low two rebounds. The goat in this playoff series has been former starter Thabo Sefolosha. He went from a starter in Game 1 and 2 to the bench and received a “DNP” for both Game’s 3 and 4. Sefolosha played 7 ½ minutes in the loss on Thursday.

Indiana Pacers versus Miami Heat Game 6 NBA Pro Basketball Betting Preview

The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the home side Miami Heat the -7 point wagering favorite with the total lined at 183 ½ points. Those betting the Miami Heat on the money line will have to lay -320 odds. Bettors choosing the Indiana Pacers on the money line to win outright in Game 6 will get back +260 odds for their wager.

Indiana was down in this best of seven series at 3-1 as they took the court with the Heat in Game 5. The Pacers playing at home were able to prevail with the 93-90 victory and cover as a +1 point underdog. The game saw Heat superstar LeBron James hit with unusual foul trouble as he was limited to just over 24 minutes and 7 points as he was whistled with some highly questionable ticky tack fouls that greatly aided the Pacers cause. The positive sign for Miami is the fact with LeBron playing a half a game and the team committing 17 turnovers they still had the ball down by two points in the closing seconds to Indiana. James drove the hole but dished out to Chris Bosh for the corner three that would give the Heat a one point lead in the closing seconds but the shot was missed and the Pacers rebounded and converted a free throw for the three point winning margin. Indiana was jawing about the officiating in Game 4 and that strategy seemed to work as LeBron is taken out of the game and the Heat attempted just 8 free throws all game long. Chris Anderson was missing from the Miami lineup in Game 5 with a thigh injury. He is questionable for Friday.

The current Game 5 odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the home side San Antonio Spurs favored by -4 ½ points with a total lined at 206 points. Those betting the San Antonio Spurs on the money line will lay -195 odds with Oklahoma City Thunder money line bettors getting back +165 odds for their wager. A check of the adjusted series odds and we find the San Antonio Spurs favored by -155 odds to win this Western conference finals series with the Thunder bringing back +135 odds to make the NBA Finals.

Home cooking has been the story of the Western conference finals as each team has won on their home court. The Spurs jumped out to the 2-0 series lead in this best of seven series behind strong offensive showings as the victories came by a combined 52 points as the Spurs pushed across 122 points in Game 1 and 112 in Game 2. But those wins came with Thunders third leading scorer Serge Ibaka out with a calf injury suffered in Game 6 of the Clippers series. Ibaka returned for the two home games in this series which resulted in a nine point win in Game 3 and a 13 point win in Game 4 for OKC. The Thunder held the Spurs to under 100 points and 39% shooting in both of their home games. Game 5 will be the first game for Serge Ibaka on the road in this series. Russell Westbrook is coming off a monster game on Tuesday as he scored 40 points and dished out ten assists. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook scored 71 of the 105 points for OKC in Game 4.

San Antonio Spurs versus Oklahoma City Thunder Game 4 NBA Pro Basketball Betting Preview

Tuesday, May 27th, 2014

The Oklahoma City Thunder will be out to tie up their playoff series as they host the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of their NBA playoff series on Tuesday May 27th. The Spurs and Thunder will get things started from Oklahoma City at 9PM Eastern Time and TNT TV will provide the coast to coast broadcast.

The current odds for Game 4 available for wagering at Oddsmaker have the home side Oklahoma City Thunder favored by -2 ½ points with a total lined at 207 ½ points. Those betting the home team Oklahoma City Thunder on the money line will lay -270 odds with the take back on the San Antonio Spurs at +230 odds for a money line bet.

The questions entering Game 3 was the availability of Serge Ibaka for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team had fallen behind 2-0 in this series after losing both games by a combined 52 points without Ibaka in the lineup. Ibaka was declared out for the series in Game 6 of their series closeout against the LA Clippers with a calf injury. With the swelling going down Ibaka found himself in the lineup on Sunday night and contributed with 15 points in over 29 minutes in a 106-97 victory by OKC and covering as a -2 ½ point favorite. Reggie Jackson got a surprise start for the Thunder and generated much needed offense as he scored 15 points in the win. Something to look close into will be the benching of Thunder rotational players Nick Collison and Thabo Sefolosha. Neither player has been effective in the playoffs in support of Westbrook and Durant. It was a poor night for the Spurs as they shot just 39.6% and turned the ball over 16 times. The Spurs were outhustled on the glass by a 52-36 margin. The Spurs starting guard tandem of Tony Parker and Danny Green combined to shoot a miserable 7 of 25 from the floor. San Antonio should have some pep in their step as no player played more than 31 ½ minutes in Game 3.

Miami Heat versus Indiana Pacers Game 5 NBA Pro Basketball Betting Preview

The current Game 5 wagering odds available at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the road side Miami Heat the -2 point betting favorites with the total lined at 184 points. Those betting the Heat on the money line will lay -135 odds while the take back on the home underdog Indiana Pacers at +115 odds for a money line bet.

After taking a 1-0 lead in this Eastern conference finals the Indiana Pacers have dropped three straight to Miami to fall behind 1-3 and are on the brink of elimination. Roy Hibbert continued his inconsistent play in these playoffs as he put up another goose egg with zero points on 0 of 4 shooting in Game 4. Miami had their worst shooting game of this series as they shot just over 46% yet still won the game as they were able to capitalize on 34 free throw attempts as they nailed 30 shots. Miami also took good care of the basketball as they kept their turnovers in single digits with just seven. Indiana on the other time continued their carelessness with the ball as they turned it over 14 times in defeat. Miami is too tough in transition to give them 14 turnovers. The problem is that Indiana knows this but they continue to turn the ball over at an alarming rate in this series. LeBron James had 32 points, his high in this series with a series low 35 ½ minutes on the court. Miami split their two games held in Indiana as the lose Game 1 by the score of 107-96 and then bounced back with the 87-83 victory in Game 2 to even the series. Miami remains undefeated on their home court in the playoffs.

Indiana Pacers versus Miami Heat Game 4 NBA Pro Basketball Betting Preview

The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the home side Miami Heat favored by -6 ½ points with a total lined at 183 ½ points. Those betting the Miami Heat on the money line will lay -300 odds while bettors taking the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 to pull off the straight up victory can get +250 odds return for their money line wager.

The Miami Heat hot shooting has continued in Game 3 as the club took a 2-1 lead in this best of seven series with the Pacers after their 99-87 victory as a -6 point wagering favorite. The Heat have shot over 50% in every game of this series and in Game 3 on their home court the club hit on over 54% of their shots. Indiana’s poor ball handling contributed to the Heat’s shooting success as the Pacers turned the ball over 19 times. More importantly after being held to 38 first half points in Game 3 the Heat decided to play team basketball. They tossed aside a half court approach for a more atheistically pleasing and team oriented ball movement strategy that had the Indiana Pacers in chase mode which led to good makeable looks for the Heat roster. Indiana had no answer in the fourth quarter for Ray Allen who made 4 of 4 three pointers in the critical stages that gave the Heat some margin for victory creating only point spread drama in the end as Miami had sealed a victory late leaving only questions where they could cover a -6 point spread which they did winning by 12. After posting 107 points in Game 1 the Pacers have scored no more than 87 points in this series.

The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the home team LA Kings favored by -125 odds with the return on the road underdog Chicago Blackhawks at +105 odds. The goal total is lined at five goals. Those betting the Kings on the puck line and laying the -1 ½ goals will get back +235 odds. Bettors taking the +1 ½ run head start will have to lay -275 odds for their puck line bet. The series odds currently have the Chicago Blackhawks favored by -115 odds with the return on the LA Kings at -105 odds.

This Western conference finals series moves to Los Angeles with the series tied at 1-1. The Blackhawks were able to win Game 1 back on Sunday by posting the 3-1 home victory to take the 1-0 series lead. The Kings were in a bad spot in Game 1 as they were forced into a Game 7 in their Western conference semifinal series with the Anaheim Ducks that concluded very late Friday night. The Kings were then forced into an afternoon Sunday game on Chicago in Game 1 so LA had very little prep and recuperate time following their dramatic win at the Anaheim Ducks. The Kings evened the series at 1-1 as they win Game 2 by the score of 6-2 as a +138 wagering underdog way back on Wednesday night. LA trailed early in the game falling behind 2-0 in the second period but the Kings got a spark from a Justin Williams goal late in the period to cut the margin to 2-1 entering the third period. Jeff Carter then struck for a natural hat trick as his three third period goals led the Kings in victory as they outscored Chicago 5-0 in the final stanza for the win.

San Antonio Spurs versus Oklahoma City Thunder Game 3 NBA Pro Basketball Betting Preview

Friday, May 23rd, 2014

The Oklahoma City Thunder will try and get up from the mat as they host the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of their playoff series on Sunday May 25th. The Spurs and Thunder will get things started from Oklahoma City at 8:30PM Eastern Time and TNT TV will provide the coast to coast broadcast.

The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the home team Oklahoma City Thunder the -2 point wagering favorite with the total of 208 ½ points. Those betting the Thunder on the money line will lay -130 odds with the return on the road underdog San Antonio Spurs at +110 odds on a money line bet.

The Thunder has been playing without injured starter Serge Ibaka who has missed the first two games of this series with a calf injury. The word that came out is that Ibaka would miss the entire playoffs. San Antonio has taken a 2-0 lead in this series off the strength of a 17 point win in Game 1 and in Game 2 the Spurs crushed the Thunder 122-77. The sad part for the Thunder is the fact the Spurs took a sizable lead into the half and OKC was not able to make up ground in the final quarter. The Spurs have owned the second half of each game. The loss of Ibaka has been significant for the Thunder. Kevin Durant has gotten plenty of accolades about his offensive production that led to his MVP. There is no doubt that Durant was greatly aided to his MVP status because of the defense played by Ibaka, Kendrick Perkins and Thabo Sefolosha. The trio has made it possible for Durant to remain fresh for four quarters. Now watching Durant having to play defense at a higher level it’s evident that LeBron James is the much greater player and the MVP of this league. San Antonio’s ball movement and ability to make outside shots have given the Thunder nightmares on the defensive end of the court. As long as San Antonio makes outside shots it opens up clear lanes to the bucket for the Spurs.

Indiana Pacers versus Miami Heat Game 3 NBA Pro Basketball Betting Preview

Thursday, May 22nd, 2014

The Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat will meet in Game 3 of their best of seven playoff series scheduled for Saturday May 24th. The Pacers and Heat will get things started from Miami at 8:30PM Eastern Time and ESPN TV will provide the coast to coast broadcast.

The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the home side Miami Heat favored by -7 points with a total lined at 182 ½ points. Bettors playing the home team Heat on the money line will have to lay -310 odds. Those who play on the Indiana Pacers on the money line will get back +255 odds for their bet on the money line. Heading into Game 3 the adjusted series price sees the Heat -440 odds to advance into the Finals with the return on the Indiana Pacers at +330 odds.

Indiana worked very hard during the regular season to gain home court advantage against the Miami Heat. After a solid win in Game 1 the Indiana Pacer lost home court in this series as the Heat win Game 2 by the score of 87-83 as a -2 point betting favorite. It came down to execution down the stretch as Miami put together a 13-2 fourth quarter run to build up enough margin to avoid a nail biting finish. The Miami Heat have not played defense up to their standards during the 2014 season as they rank in the lower half of the league in defensive field goal percentage. After losing Game 1 we saw a strong commitment defensively from Miami and it worked as they held the Pacers to just 40% shooting. The Heat has shot extremely well in the first two games of this series as they shoot over 50% in both games as they head to their home court in Game 3. Miami is the number one shooting team in the NBA as they make 50.1% of their shots. Indiana has struggled shooting the basketball on the road as the club connects just 43.8% of their shots. A major injury concern for Indiana as Paul George is questionable after suffering a concussion in Game 2.
