Texas went through a rebuilding season with head coach Charlie Strong removing players from this year’s team. The big question mark is sophomore Tyrone Swoopes who has looked very shaky this season. As the Knights offense looks to get on track the team returned to its roots of stout defense. UCF is the number three defense in college football by allowing 282 yards per game. The Bulldogs saw their starting quarterback from the past few season in Derek Carr get drafted in the second round of the NFL draft and earned a starting job under center with the Oakland Raiders. The Poinsettia Bowl will tee up at 9:30Pm Eastern Time on ESPN as the Navy Midshipmen will face the San Diego St Aztecs. The Mountain West conference school San Diego St is favored by -3 points with a total of 54 points. San Diego St will play in the Poinsettia Bowl in their home stadium. They concluded play at 7-5 and had trouble playing on the road this season with a mark of 1-5 straight up. Navy is 7-5 as well and comes off a 17-10 victory to rival Army on December 13th. Junior quarterback Keenan Reynolds sparked the Midshipmen when he returned to the lineup on October 25th after missing time due to injury. The team has won four of five with Reynolds return to the lineup with a 49-39 loss at Notre Dame as the only blemish during that span.
