Dwyane Wade had a good night for Miami by scoring 28 points and pulling down seven rebounds as he connected on 11 of 21 from the field. Miami enters play with a mark of 33-26 and appears to be headed back to the playoffs with just 23 games remaining on the schedule. They snapped a two game losing streak by beating the New York Knicks on Sunday by the score of 98-81 and covering as a -2 point road favorite. Miami had dropped a 12 point decision at Boston the night before. Chicago is 30-28 and holds the eighth seed in the Eastern conference with the tiebreaker advantage over the Detroit Pistons who holds the identical record. Washington in the 10th seed only looms two games in the standings behind the Chicago Bulls. There will be a fight amongst five teams for the three final spots in the Eastern conference playoff chase.
The late night game tips off on NBA TV at 10:30PM Eastern Time as the Golden St Warriors will host the Atlanta Hawks. The first meeting between these clubs was held in Atlanta with the Warriors posting the 102-92 road victory and cover as a -6 point favorite. After dropping their first three games on their just concluded five game home stand, the Hawks travel off victories to Charlotte and Chicago.
