The New England Patriots top all teams in the NFL with a line of 11 ½ wins. Patriots suffered a 41-33 loss in the Super Bowl. They needed a late touchdown to get past the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Title game. Their defense allowed 405 yards last year with 292 through the air. Team will break in a new defensive coordinator this season.

Next in the wagering are the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers listed at 10 ½ wins. Eagles are the defending Super Bowl Champion. Question is the health of Carson Wentz the starting quarterback who went down with a season ending knee injury late in the season. The Steelers have many weapons for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and will put up tons of points. They need to improve on a pass defense that allowed 285 yards per game.

At 10 season wins are the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. Aaron Rodgers went down with an injury and the Packers missed the playoffs. Green Bay drafted cornerbacks with their first two picks in the draft and landed in free agency defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson along with cornerback Tramon Williams. Minnesota signed Kirk Cousins to start at quarterback in free agency. Their schedule is tough with Green Bay twice. Vikings have back to back road trips at LA Rams and Philadelphia Eagles. Later in the season its back to back road games at New England and Seattle.

Other notables included the LA Rams at 9.5, Atlanta Falcons 9 and Dallas Cowboys are 8.5 wins. LA Rams scored big free agent signees in the offseason to shore up the defense. Coming over are Ndamukong Suh, Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib. Rams need to improve on run defense. Atlanta won a playoff game in LA then gave the Eagles their toughest challenge in the playoffs as the Falcons lost in the divisional round 15-10. Falcons turned the ball over on downs deep in Eagles territory in the closing seconds. Their defense showed improvement, but they must score more touchdowns in the red zone. Dallas lose Jason Witten to retirement and cut wideout Dez Bryant. They will have Ezekiel Elliot in the backfield for the whole season without distraction. But the Cowboys receivers must get open or opposing defenses will stack the line.
