It will be Game 1 of the NBA Finals as the Golden St Warriors are home to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Golden St Warriors favored by -12 ½ points with the over under line set at 214 ½ points.

Both Golden St and Cleveland were forced to win a Game 7 on the road to advance into their best of seven NBA Finals. Warriors eliminated the Rockets with good defensive effort as they held Houston to an average of 89 points in the final two games of their series. They did catch a break as the Rockets were without Chris Paul who injured his hamstring and had to miss Game 6 and 7. An issue for the Warriors that needs improvement has been their ball handling. They have had way too many double digit turnover games and fortunately were able to survive it. In Game 7 the Warriors turned the ball over 17 times. What got the Warriors past the Rockets in Game 7 was their shooting. Golden St shot 48.8% and made 16 of 39 from three. Kevin Durant broke out of a shooting slump as he went 11 of 21 from the field for 34 points. Stephen Curry had 27 points and made 7 of 15 from three. One of the mystery of this playoffs has been the lack of production from reserve Shaun Livingston.

Cleveland has struggled for offense on the road in their Eastern conference finals win against Boston. They were 1-3 on the road in that series. Cavaliers were held to 87 points or fewer in three of those four road games. Golden St scored 115 points or greater in two of their three home games against the Rockets. That is the major issue facing Cleveland. They must slow down the pace of the game. It will be difficult as the Warriors speed will give the Cavaliers defense fits in this series.

The run total is lined at 9 runs. Charlie Morton gets the start for the Astros to battle Yankees veteran C.C. Sabathia. Houston broke their two game losing streak by beating the Yankees in the opener of this series 5-1. Morton has pitched well against the Yankees in his past two starts against this team. He beat them a month ago 2-1 at home allowing one run with two hits and ten strikeouts in 7 2/3rd innings. Sabathia looks to bounce back after a bad start at Texas where he allowed seven runs in 4 1/3rd innings.

The late night game begins at 10PM Eastern Time on MLB Extra Innings Channel as the LA Dodgers host Philadelphia Phillies. LA is favored by -165 odds with the return on the underdog Philadelphia Phillies at +145 odds. The run total came in at 7 ½ runs. LA overcame a 4-0 lead early in this game as the Dodgers got to the Phillies bullpen and were aided by Philadelphia mistakes on the field. Phillies fell to 10-13 on the road with the loss and went 1 of 8 with runners in scoring position. LA has had a good home stand as they are 6-2 and have won nine of their past eleven games. Both Jake Arrieta and Kenta Maeda are in good form. Arrieta has given up three earned runs in his past 23 innings. Maeda has given up no runs in his past two starts with 20 strikeouts.

It gets going at 9PM Eastern Time on TNT TV as the Houston Rockets will be home to the Golden St Warriors. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the road team Golden St Warriors favored by -6 points with the over under line set at 208 ½ points.

Golden St Warriors forced a seventh and deciding game following the 115-86 victory at home to Houston. This had broken a two game losing streak for the Warriors in this series. Facing elimination, the Warriors got on track in the second half. Warriors fell behind 39-22 after one quarter and cut the deficit to ten points at the half. Golden St made the attitude and halftime adjustments and pounded the Rockets 64-25 in the second half. Warriors outscored the Rockets 31-9 in the fourth quarter. It was a good shooting game for Klay Thompson who scored 35 points and grabbed six boards hitting on 13 of 23 shots. Thompson has been inconsistent with his shot in the playoffs and series. Warriors finished the game hitting on 49.4% and made 16 of 38 from three point range. Kevin Durant is still struggling with his shooting touch as he went 6 of 17 from the floor but still finished with 23 points by attempting 23 free throws.

Houston Rockets were forced to play without Chris Paul who missed the game with a hamstring injury. He is listed as questionable with a strained hamstring that he injured late in Game 5. James Harden’s shooting slump continued as he went 10 of 24 from the floor and 4 of 12 from three point range. Without Paul in the lineup the Rockets depth on the bench gets very thin. Eric Gordon started in place of the injured Chris Paul. Gordon finished with a respectable game with 19 points going 6 of 12 from the field. James Harden will handle the basketball more with Paul sidelined. As a result, Harden committed nine of the twenty-one turnovers by the Rockets.

A trip to the NBA Finals is on the line as the Boston Celtics host the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Celtics and Cavaliers get things started from Boston at 8:30PM Eastern Time and ESPN TV has the coast to coast broadcast. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Boston Celtics favored by -2 ½ points with the total set at 199 ½ points.

Boston was unable to close out Cleveland on the road after a 109-99 defeat in Game 6 failing to cover as a +7 point favorite. The home team has won and covered the spread in all six games of this series. Boston has been good at home in the playoffs by winning and covering in all ten games. Celtics a very good defensive team have played their best defense at home in this series as they have not allowed more than 94 points to the Cavaliers in this series. Twice in this series at Boston, Cleveland has been held to 83 points. Boston is getting offense from rookie Jayson Tatum who has averaged 18.2 points per game in the playoffs. In the Game 5 victory by the Celtics at home Tatum had 24 points and seven rebounds in the victory.

Cleveland suffered a major injury in their win in Game 6. Kevin Love was forced to leave early with a concussion. It is likely the injury will force Love to miss the game on Sunday. Love has showed up on the road in this series with 17, 22 and 14 points with an average of 10 rebounds per game. Cleveland will have to find that production from their supporting cast if they are to advance into the NBA Finals. What has been frustrated to the Cavaliers has been the play of their starting guards in this series as JR Smith and George Hill has struggled on the road. LeBron James had a huge Game 6 with 46 points. Fatigue may be an issue for the Cavaliers in this road spot as the team will be playing their fourth game in eight days.

It gets underway at 9PM Eastern Time on TNT TV as the Golden St Warriors look to stave off elimination when they meet the Houston Rockets. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Golden St Warriors favored by -12 points with the over under line set at 212 ½ points.

Houston comes off the 98-94 road win at home to the Golden St to take the 3-2 series lead and one win away from the trip to the NBA Finals. There is a major injury concern for the Rockets as point guard Chris Paul has a hamstring injury and has been listed as out for the game. He has a history of injuries during the postseason and once again bad luck hits Paul in his deepest run in the playoffs. In the past two games the Rockets have been held to 98 and 95 points yet still picked up victories. Houston shot just 37.2% with 13 of 43 from three point range. The Rockets win despite James Harden going 0 of 11 from three point range. He finished with 19 points and four assists on 5 of 21 shooting. He did make all nine of his free throws. It was a huge game off the bench for Erik Gordon who scored 24 points.

Golden St continues to be hampered by poor ball handling. Once again it was double digit turnovers in the Warriors loss as they committed 18. They outshot Houston as the team made 44.4% and went 10 of 28 from three. Rockets have slowed the tempo and the Warriors are struggling adjusting to it. Kevin Durant had 29 points but had a poor shooting night once again hitting on 8 of 22. Klay Thompson got his shot going finishing 8 of 14 for 23 points. Thompson has been inconsistent. Warriors have lost both games with Andre Iguodala out injured with a knee injury. Iguodala has been listed as questionable for Saturday.

The NBA schedule for Friday May 25th features one game from the Eastern conference semifinals over national television to the satisfaction of pro basketball bettors worldwide.

It all gets underway at 8:30PM Eastern Time for Game 6 on TNT TV as the Cleveland Cavaliers are home to the Boston Celtics. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Cleveland Cavaliers favored by -7 with the over under line set at 201 ½ points.

Boston is up 3-2 in this series with the 96-83 victory to Cleveland in Game 5 at home. Boston closed favored by -1 ½ points. The Celtics have won and covered each playoff game this year on their home court. The team defends better at home and held the Cavaliers to under 100 points for the third time in this series. But in Cleveland the Celtics lost both games giving up 111 and 116 points. Boston is a young team and struggled shooting the basketball in their defeats at Cleveland. In this series the Celtics are shooting only 42.7% and much of that poor shooting has been on the road. Al Horford looks like a much different player on the road. He is not as aggressive getting inside for close looks at the bucket and for defensive rebounding.

LeBron James has been carrying the Cavaliers in the playoffs and this series has been no different. What has been frustrating all series long has been the play of the Cavalier starting guards George Hill and JR Smith. It was a poor Game 5 for Smith who went 1 of 6 for 3 points and George Hill going 1 of 5 for 7 points. Kyle Korver did not have a good shooting game in Boston hitting only 2 of 6 for seven points. Kevin Love scored 14 points for the only Cavaliers players scoring in double digits. Starting with Game 4 this series will be played every other day and fatigue could be a factor for the older Cavaliers team. LeBron James looked like he was fighting it in their defeat at Boston. Celtics have the younger legs on the court.

The NBA playoffs continue Thursday May 24th with Game 5 of the Western conference final over national television to the satisfaction of pro basketball bettors worldwide.

The action gets underway at 9PM Eastern Time on TNT TV as the Houston Rockets are home to the Golden St Warriors. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the road team Golden St Warriors -1 with the over under odds lined at 219 ½ points.

Houston has evened up this series at 2-2 as they beat Golden St on the road in Game 4 by the score of 95-92. Neither team shot the ball very well. Both teams shot 39%. Chris Paul gave Houston a lift in the victory by scoring 27 points hitting on 10 of 20 shots. James Harden had 30 points but his three point shooting was off with 3 of 12. Houston must be concerned about their supporting cast. They struggled despite the win. In consecutive games PJ Tucker and Trevor Ariza did not produce much scoring. Tucker though was strong on the glass with 16 rebounds. Houston went with only seven players in their rotation. Eric Gordon had 14 points but went 4 of 14 from the floor and 1 of 8 from three. Big man Clint Capela did not score much in this win but did grab 13 rebounds.

Golden St once again was sloppy handling the basketball. Warriors turned the ball over 16 times. They need to keep this number in single digits. Early in his career Stephen Curry and his Warriors team had struggled with turnovers. It was an issue until fixed in their championship appearances. Kevin Durant had 27 points with 12 boards in the loss but did not have a good shooting performance going 9 of 24. Durant has been a consistent force for Golden St in this series and the playoffs. Klay Thompson has been inconsistent in the playoffs. With many options on the court Thompson gets open for good looks. But he has to shoot well as he was only 4 of 13 in the Game 4 defeat. From here on out the teams play every other day.

The action gets underway at 8:30PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV as the Boston Celtics host the Cleveland Cavaliers. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the road team Cleveland Cavaliers favored by -1 with the over under line set at 206 points.

This series has been dominated by the home teams. At home the Celtics clobbered the Cavaliers by 25 and 13 points. Cleveland at home won by 30 and 9. It comes down to the supporting cast for the Cavaliers if they are going to be competitive in Boston. Celtics are a very good defensive team as they rank second in defensive field goal percentage and are the best in defending the three point line. In the loss in Game 4 it was Jaylen Brown with 25 points. It was an improvement from his Game 3 numbers where he was held to 10 points and committed three turnovers. Terry Rozier has elevated his performance in the playoffs with a 17.1 point per game average. A surprise in the playoffs for Boston has been the play of rookie Jayson Tatum. He too has seen his scoring numbers increase in the playoffs with an 18 point per game average.

Cleveland is being carried by LeBron James in this series. He has scored 42 points or greater in two of the past three games of this series. In the Game 4 victory LeBron had 44 points in 42 minutes of play. In the two losses at Boston, James had a total of 13 turnovers. All eyes in Boston will be on the play of LeBron’s supporting cast. Guards George Hill and JR Smith struggled in the two games held in Boston. JR Smith combined for a total of four points in the first two games of this series. Hill had five points in Game 1 and 3 points in Game 2. Cleveland was able to drive the basket in their win in Game 4 as the team produced 50 points in the paint.

NBA Pro Basketball Sports Betting Match up Previews for Tuesday

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018

The NBA playoffs will feature a Game 4 from the Western conference finals on Tuesday May 22nd over national television to the satisfaction of pro basketball bettors worldwide.

It gets underway at 9PM Eastern Time on TNT TV as the Golden St Warriors are home to the Houston Rockets. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Golden St Warriors favored by -8 ½ points with the total lined at 224 points.

The series was tied at 1-1 as it moved to the Bay Area. In Game 2 the Warriors dropped a 22 point decision giving up 127 points to the Rockets. Golden St bounced back with the 126-85 victory in Game 3 easily covering the spread as a -7 ½ point betting favorite. Stephen Curry has had his struggles in the first two games of this series. In the first home game of this series Curry was sharp making 13 of 23 shots for 35 points. Golden St for the game shot 52.2% with 13 of 32 from three. After a high turnover total in their Game 2 defeat the Warriors took better care of the basketball with eight turnovers. Kevin Durant has been consistent in the playoffs and contributed with 25 points going 9 of 19 from the field. Issue for the Warriors is they could be without Andre Iguodala who has a bruised knee and has been listed as doubtful for Tuesday.

Houston could not replicate their shooting performance in their win in Game 2. Rockets made just 39.5% and 32.4% from three. The duo of Chris Paul and James Harden struggled again from the three point line going a combined for 4 of 14. In their victory Paul and Harden combined for 4 of 20 from three. The story for the Rockets in Game 3 is the team could not get the supporting cast to produce. Trevor Ariza and PJ Tucker had six points. Eric Gordon the sixth man off the bench scored only 11 points going 4 of 13 from the floor. Houston ball handling was poor in the loss by committing a very high 20 turnovers.
