This year Stripling began the year in the bullpen and was inserted into the rotation because of injuries. He got off to a great start but has had some recent struggles. Prior to that bad outing at Philadelphia, Stripling did have good road outings at San Diego and the Angels giving up one run total in twelve innings. New York is a good offensive team sitting second in the league in runs scored and are the best in baseball in the home run department.
