Denver is favored by -4 points with the total lined at 216 points. Denver had one day of rest as the team was forced into a Game 7 win at home in their first round series against the San Antonio Spurs. Nuggets win 90-86 to advance. Portland was able to eliminate the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games. Portland beat OKC in Game 5 118-115 at home and will have five days of rest for the opener of this series. The teams met four times this season with Denver winning three of the four games with the Nuggets winning both games on their home court. Nuggets have a good home court as the team finished 37-8 straight up. Portland is just one game over .500 in their road games this season.

Head coach Brad Stephens of the Boston Celtics is now a chiseled veteran entering his sixth season. Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer is in his first season with Milwaukee.

Milwaukee has home court advantage for the entire NBA playoffs. They drew the Detroit Pistons in the first round and earned a four game sweep in the series. Bucks faced a Detroit team with a knee injury to Blake Griffin that needed surgery in the offseason. Milwaukee in their four game sweep averaged 121.7 points per game and shot 51% from the field. They held the Pistons to only 98 points per game and 38.8% shooting overall.

Philadelphia won both games held in Brooklyn. Following their 76ers defeat in Game 1 the team responded strongly be blowing out the Nets in Game 2 by the score of 145-123. They then put up 131 points on the Nets in the Game 3 win held in Brooklyn. In the playoffs the 76ers are shooting 49.5% from the field and limiting opponents to 44.2%. Team rebounded well in the first round winning the battle on the glass in each of their five games. Joel Embiid is expected to play, and the three days of rest should help his knees in this spot. Philadelphia displayed a strong physical presence on the court in their win against the Nets in the first round.

Warriors did not get much production out of their bench. Golden St bench is about the weakest of their title teams.

For LA to extend this series to a Game 7 they will need another strong game from Lou Williams. In LA’s two wins in this series it was Williams with 36 and 33 points. At home in the Game 4 loss it was Williams scoring only 12 points. In this series Williams is hitting on 50.6% and 40% from three. In the Warriors loss in Game 5 the Big 3 in Curry, Thompson and Durant scored a combined 91 points. Kevin Durant has been huge for the Warriors in this series averaging 32 points hitting 56.4% from the field along with 38.7% from three point range.

This marks the first playoff series for DeMar DeRozan with his new team this year the San Antonio Spurs. In the playoffs DeRozan is hitting on 47.6% of his shots. He has only attempted one three point shot in the series. DeRozan is shooting for high average by limiting his three point shooting. In his past playoff series with the Raptors, DeRozan has struggled making threes and shots as Toronto did not go very far in the playoffs.

Nuggets are getting good production in the playoffs out of Jamal Murray. The third year player out of Kentucky is shooting 46.1% and 39.3% from the three point line. He is averaging 18.8 points per game.

Golden St is favored by -14 points with the total coming in at 235 points. Golden St blew a 31 point third quarter lead in Game 2 and the series was tied at 1-1 heading into Los Angeles. Like they have done so many times in the Doc Rivers era as head coach the Clippers continued losing games on their home court in the postseason. Golden St is on the verge of advancing past the first round with a 27 point win in Game 3 and by 8 in Game 4 both at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Warriors in their win in Game 4 shot 47.2% and made 12 of 31 from three. Klay Thompson shot well with 32 points hitting on 12 of 20 shots. Kevin Durant led the Warriors with 33 points on 12 of 21 shooting. Clippers hit only 42.5% overall but were good from three point range making 41.9%. Lou Williams had a poor shooting performance hitting only 2 of 10 shots in 30 minutes.

OKC is favored by -6 points with the total coming in at 223 ½ points. Down 0-2 heading back home the Oklahoma City Thunder got within one of the Trailblazers with the 120-108 victory. Thunder had been held to under 100 point in the first two games of this series. Thunder got a strong response from Russell Westbrook who poured in 33 points hitting on 11 of 22 from the field. OKC still wins despite a poor game out of Paul George who made only 3 of 16 shots. Damian Lillard for Portland had 32 points hitting on 10 of 21 from the floor. Portland shot well in the loss going 47% from the floor and 12 of 31 at the three point line. Trailblazers were sloppy in defeat with 18 turnovers.
