Houston bats had been quiet until their power outburst on Thursday night. Giancarlo Stanton has been listed as questionable with a quad injury.

Masahiro Tanaka faced the Twins in the ALDS for New York and the veteran pitched five innings allowing three hits. Tanaka was the Yankees starter in the opener of this series, and he held the Astros to no runs with only one hit over six innings. He has pitched well the past two seasons against Houston. Game 4 was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but rain cancelled the game. The travel day is gone so that means if this series goes seven there will be a game everyday for the next four days.

The offense has not got on track for Northwestern as the team averages 293 yards and 14.4 points per game.

The late night game kicks off at 10PM Eastern Time on CBS Sports Network as the Fresno St Bulldogs have a home date with the UNLV Rebels. Fresno St favored by -16 points with the total set at 53 points. UNLV moved to 2-4 following their 34-10 road win at Vanderbilt to break a four game losing streak. Quarterback Kenyon Oblad completed 11 of 16 for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Rebels had 206 rushing yards in the win. This is a rebuilding year for the 2-3 Fresno St Bulldogs as they lost a lot on offense and defense. Their losses came at USC and Air Force with a home defeat to Minnesota in overtime. Denver had a very good defensive performance in the win holding the Titans to only 204 yards and had seven quarterback sacks. Despite the wins the past two weeks the Broncos offense is still sputtering. Denver in their win against Tennessee gained only 270 yards. On the season the Broncos are posting only 339 yards per game with 223 in the passing game. With the immobile Joe Flacco at quarterback the Broncos are surrendering 2 ½ sacks per game. Kansas City has won seven straight games against Denver with the Broncos last win coming in September of 2015.

Bruins offense has been held to 17 points or fewer in four of their six games. In their home defeat to the Beavers, UCLA fell behind 21-0 in the first quarter. Defensively UCLA is very poor by allowing 503 yards per game with 340 yards passing. Stanford evened their record to 3-3 with the 23-13 home win to the Washington Huskies. It was a strong defensive performance by the Cardinal as they held the Huskies to just 294 yards of offense and 2 of 12 on third down. With the injury to their starting quarterback K.J. Costello the team was forced to start Davis Mills. He has played well the past two games. Against Washington the junior signal caller completed 70% of his passes for 293 yards and a touchdown. The previous week he completed 72% of his throws for 245 yards with three touchdowns against Oregon St.
