It all gets started at 1PM Eastern Time on ABC Television as the Chicago Bulls hit the road for a monster game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Oklahoma City has the look of the Western conference representative in the NBA Finals come June. They went into Staples Center on Thursday and beat up the LA Lakers pretty good. Chicago has health issues as Derrick Rose is fighting a groin injury that has kept him out of the lineup for several games of late.

Lebron James and his Miami Heat will travel to face the Boston Celtics over ABC TV at 3:30PM Eastern Time. Boston and Miami met back on December 27th in Miami where the Heat earned the 115-107 home win as a -9 ½ point betting favorite. The Heat had an outstanding shooting game making 56% from the floor and 6 of 10 shooting from the three point line.

NBA TV at 6PM Eastern Time will televise the pro basketball game between the Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic. Both teams are like Yoyo’s going up and down with good and bad performances all season. Orlando will make the playoffs but Denver is fighting for a spot in a very competitive Western conference.

The nightcap over national television will feature the upstart Minnesota Timberwolves as they head to the Pacific Northwest to face the Portland Trailblazers at 9PM Eastern Time over NBA TV. The Minnesota Timberwolves is one of those teams in the lower half of the Western conference bracket and are too fighting for a playoff spot. Portland heading into Friday’s action is three games in the loss column behind the eight seeded Houston Rockets. Don’t’ write off Portland yet because they will be enjoying some home games and could keep them in the playoff hunt throughout the month. Each game is huge now for Western conference clubs.
