Baylor concluded regular season play with a 9-3 record. They were an explosive offense averaging 43 points and 570 yards a game.

Their defense was atrocious allowing opponents 35 points and 478 yards a game. That is even worse than the Huskies defense.

Senior quarterback and Heisman trophy winner Robert Griffin III had a marvelous season completing 72% of his passes for 36 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Their losses came by one point at Kansas St as well as a 27 point loss at Texas A&M and a 35 point loss at Oklahoma St.

Baylor has notable wins at home to Oklahoma and Texas on the year.

Washington will enter play in the Alamo Bowl at just 7-5 on the season.

It is amazing they play in this high profile bowl game off three losses in their past four games.

The Huskies did not perform well in 2011 stepping up in class with losses to Nebraska, Stanford, USC and Oregon all by double digits.

They also have a bad loss at a horrible Oregon St team by the score of 38-21.

Their only quality win came at Utah by 24 points.

Sophomore quarterback Keith Price hit on 67% of his throws with 29 touchdowns and 11 picks.

Price has a quality receiving corps to throw to in Devin Aguilar, Jermaine Kearse and Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

Washington sports an NFL caliber running back in Chris Polk who ran for 1341 yards and 11 touchdowns with a 5.1 yards per rush average.

Polk is a key for Washington in this game. His running ability coupled with an experienced receiving corps and a poor Baylor defense makes taking the points an attractive bet. The Heisman jinx will continue.

They kick off the Alamo Bowl from San Antonio in a dome stadium at 9PM Eastern Time on Thursday December 29th.

National television is available over ESPN.
