The Midshipmen have won their past ten straight against Army including a 34-7 victory last year. Army has covered two of the past three meetings against the spread. Navy has qualified for the Poinsettia Bowl as they enter their game with Army with a mark of 6-5. They will be facing San Diego St on December 23rd in a game held in San Diego. Navy went through a three game losing streak that saw the team lose the services of quarterback Keenan Reynolds. The junior quarterback returned to the lineup on October 25th with the team winning three of their final four games with the only loss coming to Notre Dame by a 49-39 score as a two touchdown underdog. Reynolds has been a run threat in the three years he has lined up under center in the Navy’s Triple Option offense. He is averaging a career high 5.3 yards per carry average on the year with 20 touchdowns. The team has notable victories at Temple and home to a pretty good Georgia Southern team. Army will not be attending a bowl game this year as they will take the field in Baltimore Maryland with a record of 5-7. The Black Knights have a notable home win back on November 8th against Connecticut winning 35-21. At quarterback for Army is senior Angel Santiago. Like Navy the Black Knights executes a triple option offense so the quarterback will run quite a bit. Santiago in 2014 has rushed for 793 yards with ten touchdowns and 4.4 yards per carry average. They enter play winners of two of three with the victories against Connecticut and Fordham.
