The Baltimore Ravens have been a good bet in the preseason under John Harbaugh. The team is undefeated in their first two games after their 33-7 victory at home to the LA Rams. Ravens got out of the block fast going up 17-0 after one quarter of play. Baltimore has a good quarterback rotation featuring Joe Flacco, Robert Griffin III and Lamar Jackson. The Ravens drafted Jackson in the first round which got the attention around the league. Lamar Jackson appears to be the quarterback of the future for the Ravens. Why would a team spend a first round draft pick on a quarterback if that wasn’t the case? The media is now making comparisons about the two and creating stories about Flacco’s future with the team. Flacco is coming off a down season completing 18 touchdowns passes with 13 interceptions. Baltimore has missed the playoffs in three straight seasons. Last year was a gut wrenching 31-27 defeat at home to the Cincinnati Bengals that cost the Ravens a playoff spot. Team blew a three point lead late by allowing a 49 yard touchdown pass with 44 seconds remaining. Ravels were a poor passing team last year throwing for 172 yards which ranked 26th and in the bottom five in the league.

Indianapolis opened the preseason defeating Seattle on the road 19-17. Good news for Colts fans as Andrew Luck was able to return to the field after missing all last season with a shoulder injury. Colts focus is on pass protection and the team has drafted offensive lineman early in the draft the past couple of years. What may help relieve the pressure on Luck is to establish a run game that has netted less than four yards per carry in three of their past four seasons.
