Rockets have won three of four after their 126-117 road win at Utah on Monday. Houston was on a back to back after playing at Denver the night before. Houston played without Russell Westbrook with rest and James Harden who had a thigh injury. Harden is questionable for Wednesday and Clint Capela as well with a heel injury.

The late night game on TNT TV tips at 10PM Eastern Time as the LA Lakers are the designated home team against the LA Clippers. Game will be played and watched with a heavy heart after the tragic passing of Kobe. Lakers check in with a 36-10 overall record and 16-5 on the home court. LA Lakers returns home after a five game road trip where they won three of those games. Team comes off the 108-91 road loss at Philadelphia on Saturday night. Lakers had a poor night from three hitting on 6 of 31 in defeat. LeBron James and Anthony Davis combined for 60 points and no other Laker scored greater than seven points. Clippers have a mark of 33-14 and 14-10 on the highway. They will be without Paul George with a hamstring injury. Patrick Beverly has been listed as questionable with a groin. Clippers won both meetings against the Lakers this season. They too return home after a five game road trip back east where they win four of those contests. Clippers come off the 112-97 road win on Sunday at Orlando.

At 8PM Eastern Time on NBA League Pass Channel the Oklahoma City Thunder hosts the Dallas Mavericks. Oklahoma City sits at 28-19 on the campaign and sits with a home mark of 15-9. Thunder have won five straight after their 113-104 road win at Minnesota on Saturday. It was a strong shooting performance by the Timberwolves as they connected on 49% from the field. Chris Paul led the starters with 25 points and ten assists hitting on 10 of 18 from the floor. Dallas travels to OKC with an overall mark of 28-17 and 15-6 on the highway. Mavericks have lost two of three following their 112-107 road defeat at Utah on Saturday. Dallas continued to struggle against teams who have won at last 60% of their games this season. They were beaten on the glass by ten rebounds. Mavs have suffered a major blow to their season by losing Dwight Powell for the season with an Achilles injury. Powell averaged 9.4 points and nearly six rebounds per game.

Listed out for Indiana is Malcolm Brogdon. Portland is a disappointing 19-27 this season with a home record of 10-11. Trailblazers have been hit hard with injuries with Jusuf Nurkic, Rodney Hood and Zach Collins all out. Guard CJ McCollum is expected to play on Sunday after sitting out Thursday with an ankle injury. Portland has lost three of four after their 133-125 home defeat to Dallas on Thursday. Trailblazers surrendered 52% shooting and 22 of 47 from three to the Mavericks in the loss.

On ABC TV at 8:30PM Eastern Time the Philadelphia 76ers host the LA Lakers. LA has a record of 36-9 and 20-4 on the highway. LA has won three of their four on this five game road trip following their 128-113 win at Brooklyn on Thursday. Lakers were playing a back to back and third game in four nights. Lakers shot 52% in the win and pulled down 11 greater rebounds than the Nets. Both Lebron James and Anthony Davis are expected to play. Philadelphia checks in at 29-17 on the campaign and a good home record of 20-2 straight up. Their four game win streak was snapped in a 107-95 road defeat on Wednesday to the Toronto Raptors. 76ers were pounded on the glass pulling down eight fewer rebounds than the Raptors. Philadelphia will continue to be without Joel Embiid who is sidelined with a hand injury. Embiid is expected to return to the 76ers lineup early in February.

Dallas checks with a mark of 27-18 and 13-10 on the home court. They are the third highest scoring team in the league at 116.7 points per game. Kristaps Porzingis has been dealing with a knee injury that has forced him to miss recent games has been listed as probable for Tuesday. Dallas has won four straight after their 120-112 home win to Portland on Friday. Despite the win the Mavs have now allowed over 50% shooting in back to back games. In the win against the Trailblazers the Mavericks were hot from three connecting on 20 of 47.
