This best of seven series from the Eastern conference’s number four and five seeds began with Game one in Brooklyn way back on April 20th. The Nets came out on fire and dominated the Bulls in every facet of the game and came away with the 106-89 home victory as a -4 ½ point betting favorite. Then the Chicago Bulls looked like they were headed into the Eastern conference semifinal round against the Miami Heat after taking the next three games of this series to go up 3-1. A key win by the Bulls came in game four as they defeated the Brooklyn Nets 142-134 in triple overtime to put the Nets on the brink of elimination. What really strung Brooklyn in game four was the fact the team blew a 109-95 lead with just over three minutes remaining in the game as the Bulls put on a monster run as they outscored the Nets 14-0 with 55 seconds left in the fourth quarter that eventually entered into three overtime periods. To Brooklyn’s credit they came back and forced a game seven by producing two straight victories. In game five the Nets win at home by the score of 110-91 and covering the spread as a -6 ½ points favorite. In Game six the Nets were actually a -1 point favorite on the road as they defeated Chicago 95-92 to force the seven game of this series. Brooklyn had balanced scoring as five Nets players scored in double digits. Kris Humphries despite playing less than four minutes in the triple overtime game has giving the Nets some much needed spark off the bench. Chicago has been hampered with injuries all year. Derrick Rose though practicing with the team has yet to play this year. Luol Deng missed Game 6 with an illness and is questionable for Game 7. Defensive specialist Kirk Hinrich is questionable for The Bulls on Saturday with a calf injury after missing Thursday’s game.
