Starting for Toronto will be right hander Marcus Stroman as he opposes Indians righty Trevor Bauer. Stroman will be making his second post season start for Toronto. This is a desperate spot for the Blue Jays as with a loss they will fall to a 0-3 deficit. The right hander took the mound in the AL Wildcard game in an elimination spot against the Baltimore Orioles and allowed two earned runs and four hits in six innings of work as he received a no decision in a 5-2 home victory. The Blue Jays are 2-5 in his past five starts. Trevor Bauer was slated to start Game 2 but was a scratch as he suffered an injury fixing his drone. The Indians right hander appeared in the ALDS at home to Boston as he allowed three earned runs and six hits throwing only 4 2/3rd innings as he received a no decision in a 5-4 home victory. Bauer has allowed three earned runs or greater in six straight starts but the team is 4-2 in those starts as the Indians have given him great run support.

The Indians are up 2-0 in this best of seven ALCS with all those wins coming in Cleveland. In Game 1 it was a 2-0 victory by the Indians as they get a good pitching performance by Corey Kluber. Josh Tomlin gave Cleveland a good 5 2/3rd innings in an Indians 2-1 home victory in Game 2.
