The action on FOX Sports 1 TV begins at 7PM Eastern Time as the Maryland Terrapins host the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Maryland Terrapins favored by -7 points with the over under line set at 135 points. Golden Gophers are slated as a tenth seed in the tournament so there is very little margin for error down the stretch. Team will carry a two game win streak after their four point home win to Purdue. Prior to that was a 12 point defeat at Northwestern. Maryland will look to break a two game losing streak following defeats at Penn St by 17 on the road and a seven point home loss to Michigan. This will be the second meeting of the season with Maryland winning on the road 82-67 as a two point underdog. Terrapins shot 54.2% in the win and made 6 of 10 from the three point line. Anthony Cowan led Maryland with 27 points and six rebounds on 7 of 12 shooting. Golden Gophers shot only 41.9% in the loss and was crushed on the glass pulling down 15 fewer rebounds.

At 9PM Eastern Time on ESPN2 the A10 conference is showcased as the VCU Rams host the St Josephs Hawks. VCU is favored by -12 points with the total set at 138 points. VCU is having a strong season with a 24-6 overall mark and 15-2 in the A10. Rams are slated in the tournament as an eighth seed, so the team needs win to try and avoid that number one seed in the second round. VCU has won ten straight after their 71-36 road win at George Mason. St Josephs had their two game win streak snapped in an 86-85 home defeat to Rhode Island. It was poor defensive performance by the Hawks who gave up 50% shooting in defeat. It has been a down season for St Josephs as the team is 13-17 straight up on the season and a poor 2-10 on the road.
