They followed that up with a 58-57 victory to Rhode Island in the A10 tourney final.

On TNT TV at 9:20PM Eastern Time the Virginia Tech Hokies face Alabama Crimson Tide. Virginia Tech is favored by -2 points with the total lined at 141 ½ points. Alabama to the surprise of some made the NCAA Tournament despite 15 losses. This is a team that lost five straight to enter the SEC tourney. They picked up a buzzer beating win to Texas A&M then crushed Auburn by 18. In the semifinals the Crimson Tide was blown out by Alabama 86-63. Virginia Tech is 21-11. Hokies have lost three of four after losing to Notre Dame 71-65 in their ACC tournament opener.
