It all gets underway at 7PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV as the Syracuse Orange will host UNC Greensboro. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has Syracuse favored by -12 ½ points with the over under line set at 150 points. Syracuse enters the NIT for the second time in three season. Motivation is a key for all these number one seeds in the NIT as they are all likely the last four out of the NCAA Tournament. The Orange doesn’t have much complaints really as a 14 loss team despite playing in a good conference. Syracuse suffered an early exit in the ACC Tournament with a loss to Miami. They are not playing the lock down defense like in their Big East days ranking about 130th in the nation in the defensive shooting categories. UNC Greensboro out of the Southern conference fell in the championship game to East Tennessee St 79-74 to land in the NIT.

On ESPN TV at 9PM Eastern Time the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have a home date with the Indiana Hoosiers. Indiana is favored by -2 ½ points with a total set at 142 ½ points. Indiana was a disappointment. An 8-12 Big 12 record lands them in the NIT. There were too many close losses as the Hoosier lacked the necessary success in the end game to pull out victories despite good offensive and defensive statistics. Georgia Tech showed improvement this season on the defensive end but have work to do shooting the basketball if they are to become and NCAA Tournament team in the future.

The late night game tips at 11:15PM Eastern Time on ESPN2 TV as the California Golden Bears are home to Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners. California is favored by -10 ½ points with the total set at 122 ½ points. Cal St Bakersfield were gassed in the WAC final losing to New Mexico St. The Roadrunners needed four overtimes to beat Utah Valley in the semifinals that hurt their chances in the final. California struggled in road games in conference and stepping up at home against the top tier teams in the PAC 12.
