The action begins at 7PM Eastern Time as the West Virginia Mountaineers host the Austin Peay Governors. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side West Virginia Mountaineers favored by -15 ½ points with the total lined at 148 ½ points. West Virginia went through a rough season last year as they were an inexperienced team rebuilding. This year the Mountaineers are off to a 7-1 record and 6-0 on the home court. West Virginia opened the season winning a true road game at Pittsburgh 68-53. Then it was a series of five straight home games with notable victories to Northern Iowa and Wichita St. They traveled to St Johns on Saturday and dropped a 70-68 road decision. Mountaineers have struggled shooting the basketball this season hitting only 42.7% with 32.1% from three. They have gotten wins by defending holding opponents to 36.4% and 26.7% from three. Austin Peay is from the Ohio Valley conference and checks in with a 4-4 record. They have lost all four of their true road games this season. Two defeats came by double digits at Vanderbilt 90-72 and at Western Kentucky 97-75. Governors are a weak defensive team giving up 46% shooting.

At 8PM Eastern Time on ESPN2 TV the Iowa St Cyclones are home to the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa St is favored by -4 points with the over under line of 157 ½ points. Iowa St sits at 6-3 overall but have won all five of their home games. Cyclones come off the 76-66 home victory to Seton Hall on Sunday behind a strong defensive effort holding the Pirates to 37% shooting and only 8 of 30 from the three point line. Iowa has been a team that has struggled the past few seasons with defense on the road. They are 7-3 on the campaign. Hawkeyes have split their two true road games winning at an inexperienced Syracuse team and getting blown out at Michigan in their Big Ten opener.
