The current odds at Oddsmaker has the road team Dallas Mavericks lined as a -3 ½ point betting favorite with the over under at 190 ½ points. Those who bet Dallas on the money line will lay -165 odds. If you think the home team Phoenix Suns can get the underdog straight up win you can get back +145 odds for the bet on the money line.

Dallas has simply owned Phoenix as they have defeated the Suns in eight straight games and have covered the point spread against the Suns in seven straight. Dallas has been favored in all seven games which includes three games played at Phoenix.

The Mavericks crushed Phoenix back on January 30th by the score of 122-99 as a -4 ½ point favorite. Dallas shot 55.2% and made nearly 52% from three in the rout of the Suns.

Dallas will be a rested team having defeated the New York Knicks 95-85 on their home court as a -2 ½ point favorite two nights ago. A concern for Maverick backers is the fact they have lost four in a row on the road. The Mavs are still solid on the defensive end of the court limiting teams to just 91 points and 41.9% shooting per game.

It has been a disappointing year for the Suns as the club is just 17-21 this season. They have lost 9 of their 19 home games this season. The team is old and cannot produce the offensive numbers we have seen in the past. They have fallen to just 16th in the league in scoring with 94.8 points per game and are 13th in the league in field goal percentage making 44.7% from the floor. They went on a modest three game winning streak following the All Star break. The Suns have a pattern of firing fresh. They must play the back end of a back to back tonight as their three game win streak was snapped last night in a 115-104 road defeat to Oklahoma City.
