This is a big game in the standings of the AFC West as Denver sits at 8-3 and holds a one game lead over the 7-4 Chiefs. This is the second and final meeting of the regular season between these two teams. They met back on September 14th in Denver and it was the Broncos posting the 24-17 home victory as a -13 point favorite. Denver had posted a 21-10 lead at the half but had trouble separating from a hard trying Chiefs team as the Broncos were held to only a fourth quarter field goal in the second half of the game. Peyton Manning passed for 242 yards and three touchdown passes in the win. Neither team had a turnover. Denver enters play following a come from behind home victory last Sunday to the Miami Dolphins 39-36 and failing to cover as a -7 point favorite. The Broncos got behind 28-17 as they entered the fourth quarter. Denver then rallied for the first 22 points of the quarter to take an 11 point lead with three minutes left. Miami then drove the field for a point spread covering touchdown but failed to recover the onside kick giving the Broncos the win. Kansas City will have extra rest in this game after losing on November 20th on a Thursday night to the Oakland Raiders by the score of 24-20 as a -7 ½ point favorite on the road. The Chiefs got off to a poor start trailing by as many as 17-3 in the third quarter. KC rallied to take a 20-17 fourth quarter lead only to allow a game winning touchdown pass by Raiders quarterback Derek Carr with under two minutes remaining.
