The Miami Heat behind a strong fourth quarter rally was able to defeat the Indiana Pacers on Sunday in game one by the score of 95-86 as a -8 ½ point home favorite. Miami suffered a blow to their championship hopes as Chris Bosh went down with an abdominal injury which forced his exit in the fourth quarter. Bosh will not play on Tuesday in game two and could miss some extended time from the court as the Miami medical staff will evaluate the player daily for progress.

The biggest disappointment for the Indiana Pacers was the play of Danny Granger. The Indiana leading scorer was guarded by the 2011-12 MVP Lebron James in game one and was limited to just 7 points and four boards as he made a mere 1 of his 10 shots from the floor. The Pacers were competitive for the better of three quarters as their defense allowed the Heat just 40.7% from the floor. The Heat was heavily dependent on their Big 3 as Bosh, James and Wade combined for 74 of the Miami’s 95 game one points on Sunday. James had a solid game with 32 points and 15 rebounds on 12 of 26 shooting. The Indiana Pacers got a good effort from their bench in game one as the unit provided 29 points in a losing cause. Backup point guard Darren Collison had 10 points and 8 assists for the Pacers. Center Roy Hibbert is a difficult match up for Miami now without Bosh in the lineup. The Indiana big man had 17 points and 11 boards in game one.
