Indianapolis sits tied in the AFC South division with a 3-2 record. Many predicted that the Colts would be atop the division. Many didn’t expect a 2-14 team from 2013 tied with them. Houston is 3-2 on the year and is tied with Indianapolis atop the division. The question is can the Texans keep pace through a 17 week season. It appears that Jacksonville at 0-5 and Tennessee at 1-4 on the year won’t be competing for a division title. That leaves the Texans and Colts in a two team fight the rest of the way. The schedule was difficult for Indianapolis to start the year as the club dropped a seven game decision in week one at Denver and in week two they lose by three points at home to Philadelphia. They then posted blowout wins on the road to Jacksonville and home to Tennessee. Indianapolis had their third biggest test of the season last week as they hosted the Baltimore Ravens and came away with the 20-13 victory and cover as a -2 ½ point favorite. Andrew Luck passed for 312 yards and a touchdown in the win but was picked off twice by the Ravens. Houston is a perfect 2-0 straight up at home this season with wins against the Washington Redskins in week one by 11 points and a 6 point win to Buffalo. Their other win came at Oakland by a score of 30-14. Last week the Texans traveled to Dallas and were competitive in a 20-17 road overtime loss as a +5 point underdog. The Texans were down 17-7 late in the game but were able to score ten points in the final 2 ½ minutes of the game which tied it.
