The New York Giants entered their bye week with a record of 3-4 on the year. The team is breaking in a new offense and the Giants were slow to adapt too from the start of preseason through the first two weeks of the regular season. After a week two loss to the Arizona Cardinals the Giants responded with three straight wins as they picked up victories against Houston, Washington and Atlanta averaging no less than 30 points each game. Then two divisional games on the road came up and the Giants lost both games. The offense came up empty in a 27-0 defeat at Philadelphia on a Sunday night. The week after came a road trip to the Dallas Cowboys where the Giants lost 31-0. The Giants defense has struggled a bit as the club ranks 28th overall and 25th against the pass. They are giving up 262 yards passing per game to their opponents. Indianapolis enters Monday Night Football with a mark of 5-3 on the year. They opened the season with back to back losses at Denver and home to Philadelphia. They then went on a five game win streak with notable wins coming home to Baltimore and Cincinnati. Last week the Colts traveled to Pittsburgh and were defeated soundly by the score of 51-34 as a -5 point favorite on the road. The Indy defense allowed 522 yards passing and six touchdown passes throws by Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger which nullified a 400 yard passing performance by Andrew Luck.
