New Orleans enters play at 10-3 on the season and have plenty to play for in the final three weeks of the regular season. They are competing for a first round bye and home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. Two losses on the season have come at home following their 48-46 home defeat to San Francisco last week. The defeat broke a three game win streak. In their defeat to San Francisco the Saints defense surrendered 516 yards with 354 yards in the passing game. At home this year the Saints are moving the football for 419 yards getting 114 from their ground attack for 4.9 yards per rush. New Orleans overall ranks 13th on defense allowing 338 yards per game and are the fifth best rushing defense in the league holding their opponents to 94.2 yards per game. They have clinched the NFC South behind quarterback Drew Brees, who has completed 73.6% of passes for 2140 yards and 17 touchdowns. Brees has only four interceptions all season.

Indianapolis checks in with a mark of 6-7. They are longshots to make the playoffs at 6-7 trailing both Tennessee and Houston by 2 games. Sadly, for the Colts is the Texans and Titans meet twice in the final three weeks making it nearly impossible to make up enough ground in the division race. Team has been hit by key injuries this season with impact running back Marlon Mack missing time as well as wide receivers TY Hilton and Parris Campbell. Colts have lost three straight and five of seven after their 38-35 road defeat at Tampa Bay. Colts defense was torched surrendering 542 yards to the Tampa Bay offense. Indianapolis defense ranks 22nd in pass defense giving up 245 yards per game.
