Both teams enter play at 9-1. The Chiefs lone loss of the season came to the New England Patriots five weeks ago in a 43-40 defeat on the road on a Sunday night. In that defeat the Chiefs gave up 500 yards to the Patriots with 173 on the ground and 327 passing. KC has been carried by their offense behind quarterback Pat Mahomes that leads an offense that generates 423 yards per game with 305 passing. What can bite the Chiefs in the playoffs has been the play of their defense. Chiefs are surrendering 410 yards per game with 289 passing and 5.1 yards per carry. Chiefs past three games resulted in wins against losing teams in the Cardinals, Browns and Broncos.

LA Rams have been through a gauntlet of a schedule as they have won two of three when facing the Seahawks, Saints and Packers. Rams are moving the football for 448 yards per game. Behind Gurley LA is rushing for 144 yards per game near five yards per carry. Chiefs have struggled in stopping the run. Rams has put up better defensive numbers than the Chiefs this season as they limit opponents to 355 yards per game and has made late key stops in recent wins against the Seahawks twice and Packers. A key target for LA quarterback Jared Goff in the red zone has been lost for the season as Cooper Kupp tore a knee ligament.
