The current odds posted at Oddsmaker has the Big 12 conference team the Kansas Jayhawks favored by -1 point with an over under lined at 143 ½ points.

The Kansas Jayhawks has been able to survive two nail biters to reach the Elite 8. They were pitted against the Purdue Boilermakers in a Round of 32 game and escaped with the 63-60 win as a -8 point betting favorite. In a Sweet 16 performance on Friday they ousted North Carolina St by the score of 60-57 laying -8 ½ points. Their last loss came in the Big 12 conference tournament semifinal game to the Baylor Bears by a score of 81-72 as a -6 ½ point favorite. The Jayhawks has struggled shooting the basketball over their past two games as they could not reach greater than 38% from the floor despite the wins against Purdue and NC State. Kansas has not shot well from beyond the arc and was a pathetic 7.1% on Friday night.

North Carolina opened play in the NCAA Tournament with two very comfortable wins as they defeated Creighton by 14 points and Vermont by 19 points. They survived a scare in their Sweet 16 contest by defeating the Ohio Bobcats out of the MAC conference on Friday night 73-65 in overtime as a -10 ½ point betting favorite. North Carolina despite being hit with injuries has been able to defend very well allowing two of their three opponents below 40% shooting. In their Round of 32 victory against Creighton the Missouri Valley conference club shot just 41.2% from the field. Looks like North Carolina will be without guard Kendall Marshall with a broken wrist injury suffered in the Creighton game. They survived the Ohio game without them and face a more difficult test today against Kansas.
