The LA Clippers have hit a speed bump at the midway point of the season as the team has dropped three of their past four games and failed to cover the point spread in four straight games. The Clippers defense has begun to fail them as they have allowed 103 or more points to three of their past four opponents. Coming off the All Star break the LA Clippers went bad in the fourth quarter in their 109-97 home loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves as a -6 ½ point home favorite. LA allowed the Timberwolves 36 fourth quarter points in a bad defeat on their home court.

Sacramento enters play at 12-22 on the season. But there are signs of hope for this once doormat franchise. They are currently on a two game win streak and have shown huge improvement on the offensive end of the court. Over their past five games the Kings have averaged 105 points and 44.2% shooting. A big lineup change for the Kings was inserting rookie guard out of Washington Isaiah Thomas into the starting lineup. Thomas has been productive with a 20 point average and over seven assists per game in his past four performances. Center DeMarcus Cousins has produced for this team with over 11 rebounds and 16 points per game on the season. He had 22 points and 18 rebounds in the Kings 103-96 home win to the Utah Jazz on Tuesday by seven points as a -3 ½ point betting favorite.
