Notable longshots in the wagering are the Philadelphia Phillies at +1600 odds, San Francisco Giants at +3000 odds and the Oakland Athletics at +6600 odds.

Houston Astros—Houston has built up a five game lead in the AL West division as Seattle has slumped hitting the All Star Break. Astros have gotten great work from their starting rotation and bullpen. Houston sit tops in MLB with a staff ERA of 2.94 and WHIP of 1.06.

New York Yankees—New York is a strong hitting team. But for the team to surpass the Boston Red Sox in the AL East race they must get better work from the bottom of their starting rotation as Sonny Gray and Domingo German have struggled. Masahiro Tanaka has had consistency issues.

Boston Red Sox—Boston has been good in all areas. They are getting good starting and relief pitching. Red Sox have improved at the plate. The power has returned to this team as they rank first in team batting and runs scored. Red Sox are second in the league in homers. That was an area last year where they struggled. JD Martinez was a great pick up.

LA Dodgers—Dodgers are no lock to make the playoffs. They hold a ½ game lead in the NL West division but three teams are within four games of the Dodgers. LA have had their issues hitting lefthanded pitching on the year. Clayton Kershaw must remain healthy throughout the season. Dodgers are too reliant on their bullpen.

Chicago Cubs—Team is hitting the baseball very well and hold a 2 ½ game lead on Milwaukee in the NL Central. Chicago is fourth in runs scored and in Team ERA. Tyler Chatwood in the bottom of the rotation had a very poor first half of the season. Yu Darvish has been injured and has no return date.

Cleveland Indians—Cleveland has the benefit of playing in a weak division and has a 7 ½ game lead in the division. They hold a 7 ½ game lead over a Minnesota Twins team six games under .500. Indians bullpen has been bad this season.

Philadelphia Phillies—Philadelphia is a weak hitting team that holds a ½ game lead over Atlanta in the AL East behind strong starting pitching.

San Francisco Giants—San Francisco has gotten healthy with their starting staff getting back into the rotation. They are deep in that area as Dereck Rodriguez returns to the bullpen. Giants need to play better on the road.

Oakland Athletics—Oakland is the hot team hitting the All Star Break moving their record to 55-42 at the break and only three games back of Seattle in the AL Wildcard race.
