Third in the wagering are the LA Dodgers at +300 odds with the Milwaukee Brewers returning +375 odds as the longshot.

Boston Red Sox— Red Sox were able to eliminate the Yankees in four games clinching in New York. Boston weakness lies on the mound. Starter David Price gets rattled in the postseason. Rick Porcello gives up a lot of runs but has been aided by run support. The bullpen looks shaky until they get to the closer Craig Kimbrel. In the closeout game Kimbrel was rattled and had difficult time controlling his sinker. He resorted back to his fastball and was able to escape with the save allowing two runs winning 4-3 against the Yankees in Game 4. Red Sox have the best two hitters in this series in Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez.

Houston Astros— Houston is an all around good team. Starting and relief pitching are good. Their everyday lineup hits well and defends. Astros have the knack for late inning rallies. Justin Verlander could start three games in this with the Astros. He finished the year at 16-8 with ERA of 2.52. Gerrit Cole went 15-5 with an ERA of 2.88 in 32 starts.

LA Dodgers— LA has gotten great production in the final month from starters Hyun Jin Ryu, Clayton Kershaw and Walker Buehler. Kershaw could possible start three games in the NLCS against Milwaukee. Ryu was sidelined with a groin injury for much of the season and has only worked 82 1/3rd innings. He has a fresh arm and ERA of 1.97. Kershaw had a great postseason start against the Braves in the NLDS pitching a strong eight innings. Newly acquired Manny Machado had produced with clutch hits in the NLDS series with Atlanta.

Milwaukee Brewers—Milwaukee is the hottest team as the championship series begins. They swept the Rockies in a three game series. Brewers pitchers Jhoulys Chacin, Gio Gonzalez and Wade Miley are the three starters figured to pitch at least two games in this series. Brewers have a strong bullpen and it is possible to see all relief pitchers throw in a game or two of the NLCS. At the plate Christian Yelich leads the Brewers with a .326 batting average and 36 homers with 110 runs batted in.
