Second in the wagering are the Washington Nationals returning +650 odds. LA Dodgers come in third in the betting at +750 odds. Two AL clubs sit at +800 odds in the Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox. New York Yankees are lined as longshots at +1200 odds.

The Chicago Cubs has struggled through the first third of the season. The team is 31-31 with struggles on offense and with their starting pitching staff. Chicago sits 29th and second to last in Major League Baseball in team batting at .234. Despite these faults they are only a game back of Milwaukee in the NL Central race.

The Washington Nationals hold a firm grip of first place in the NL East at 38-24. They sit 9 ½ games ahead of the second place New York Mets. The Nationals are third in runs scored and team batting this season. Their issue is with the bullpen where Washington ranks near the bottom of the league.

LA Dodgers have played well at home this season and have a record of 39-25 sitting 1 ½ games back of Colorado in the NL West race. Other than Clayton Kershaw the starting staff doesn’t give betters confidence when the chips are on the line in the playoffs.

Cleveland Indians are in striking distance in the AL Central at 31-29 sitting 1 ½ games back of Minnesota. Indians are in the bottom half of the league offensively and the starting rotation has lack consistency.

Boston is 34-28 sitting four games back of the first place New York Yankees in the AL East. The pitching staff has performed but the Red Sox lack power in their hitting lineup sitting 28th in MLB in home runs.

New York Yankees at 37-23 have been a surprise. Many pundits expected the offense to produce which it has. The pitching staff sits 3rd in Team ERA and 2nd in WHIP in the league and that has been the surprise. Though many pundits believe the starters could be vulnerable in the post season.
