The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Houston Astros favored by -120 odds with the return on the underdog Boston Red Sox at +110 odds. The run total is lined at 7. Starting for the Red Sox will be Chris Sale as he will oppose Astros righty Gerrit Cole. Boston had their three game win streak snapped in a 4-2 loss at Houston to open this four game series. Houston had dropped two straight and four of five to open the series. Chris Sale will look to rebound after a poor home start against Atlanta where he gave up six runs in 4 1/3rd innings of a loss. Houston crushed Sale in the playoffs putting up seven runs in five innings last year.

The late night game gets underway at 10:15PM Eastern Time on MLB Extra Innings Channel as the San Francisco Giants host Philadelphia Phillies. Philadelphia is favored by -115 odds with the return on the underdog San Francisco Giants at -105 odds. Phillies will start righty Nick Pivetta to oppose Giants righthander Chris Stratton. Philadelphia opened this road trip by splitting a four game series with the LA Dodgers. They got great pitching performances from Aaron Nola and Jake Arrieta. Giants return home after a 2-6 road trip. They dropped two of three at Colorado as they enter this series. Nick Pivetta has pitched well this season for the Phillies. He has an ERA of 3.26 in eleven starts. Chris Stratton has not gone very deep in games going no greater than five innings in four straight starts. Giants are 8-3 in Stratton’s eleven starts despite an ERA of 4.97 on the season and an ERA near seven in his home stadium. San Francisco has given Stratton run support averaging 5.8 runs per start.
