A nice one is scheduled on MLB Network at 7PM Eastern Time as the Cleveland Indians are home to the New York Yankees. Starting for the Yankees will be righthander Domingo German to battle Indians righty Shane Bieber. New York continues their road trip after winning two of three at Toronto and splitting a four game series with the lowly Baltimore Orioles. Cleveland has had a poor home stand dropping two of three to the Oakland Athletics and Cincinnati Reds. In game two of their series with the Reds the Indians bullpen blew a 4-0 lead in the ninth inning allowing seven runs to the Reds in defeat. The Indians bullpen has been bad all season with an ERA over five. Domingo German has struggled in the New York rotation. Yankees are on a pace for 100 wins and playing in the one game playoff. Reason for that has been the performance of their fourth and fifth starter in German and Sonny Gray. Bieber has been good for the Indians as he enters play 4-1 in six starts with an ERA of 3.47.

The late night game begins at 10:15PM Eastern Time on MLB Extra Innings Channel as the San Francisco Giants are home to the Oakland Athletics. On the hill for the Giants will be lefty Madison Bumgarner to battle Athletics righty Edwin Jackson. Oakland has been a hot team as they have driven their record to eleven games over .500 as they closed out their series with the Astros. They will go home after a road trip at Houston and Cleveland with a winning trip. San Francisco is in the hunt for the NL West title based on their great play in their home park. They need to be better their 19-29 record on the road. Bumgarner makes his eighth start of the season since returning to the lineup. After three consecutive good starts Bumgarner gave up four runs in 5 1/3rd innings to St Louis and got the win as San Francisco pushed across 13 runs. Jackson was called up from Triple A and the Athletics are 3-0 in his three starts. He is 1-0 with an ERA of 2.45 and good WHIP of 0.93.
