There will be day baseball at 1PM Eastern Time on MLB Extra Innings channel as the Toronto Blue Jays are home to the Minnesota Twins. The Twins will send right hander Ervin Santana to the mound to face Twins left hander David Price. Santana looks to rebound after a bad outing on July 29th at home to Pittsburgh where he surrendered six earned runs, eight hits and two homers in 5 2/3rd innings. Prior to that he had back to back starts where he didn’t allow an earned run in 15 2/3rd innings. He had four walks in that loss to the Pirates as control issues have haunted Santana in the past with his stint with the LA Angels. David Price will make his debut with his new team in the Blue Jays on Monday after getting traded by the Tigers. On the year Price is 9-4 with an ERA of 2.53 working 146 innings.

At 7PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV two NL contenders clash as the Pittsburgh Pirates will host the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs start veteran left hander Jon Lester to open the series to face Pirates lefty Francisco Liriano. Lester is in good form for the Cubs as he has given up just four earned runs total over his past 22 1/3rd innings. He has not gotten much run support from the Cubs in recent outings. Liriano has held his past six opponents to two earned runs or less with Pittsburgh winning every game.

The late night game goes off at 10PM Eastern Time on MLB Extra Innings channel as the LA Angels will host the Cleveland Indians. The Indians will start right hander Corey Kluber in the series opener. Kluber bounced back from a bad home outing to the White Sox by limiting Kansas City to just one earned run in a complete nine inning victory on July 29th. The Angels return home after a bad road trip. After a 3-1 road defeat at LA on Saturday they are 0-5 on the trip and have lost eight of their past nine games.
