One game is on tap for national television and that goes off at 8PM Eastern Time as the St Louis Cardinals will host the San Francisco Giants. On the mound for the Cardinals will be right hander Michael Wacha as he opposes Giants righty Christopher Heston. Wacha has been in excellent form entering Monday’s start. The Cardinals hurler has held his past three opponents to just two earned runs total in 20 innings pitched. He has won three straight and has just one defeat in his past eight starts. Heston has not worked long in games of late. He has not made it out of the fifth inning in two of his past three starts. He was unlucky losing to the Astros on August 12th by giving up just a run over 6 1/3rd innings.

At 7PM Eastern Time over MLB Extra Innings channel it’s the New York Yankees at home to the Minnesota Twins. C.C. Sabathia a veteran right hander throws to oppose Twins righty Kyle Gibson. The Yankees were involved in an emotional series with the Blue Jays over the weekend so the club will need to refocus against this AL Central opponent. Sabathia has struggled through a down season as the veteran is 4-9 with an ERA of 5.23. He has put together a couple of decent starts. On August 12th he held the Indians to two earned runs over six innings. Gibson bounced back after a bad start at Toronto by limiting the Rangers to two earned runs over six innings on August 11th.

The late night game goes off at 10PM Eastern Time over MLB Extra Innings channel as the LA Angels will play host to the Chicago White Sox. Andrew Heaney a lefty takes the mound for the Angels to oppose White Sox left hander Carlos Rodon. The Angels return home to open a home stand after a bad road trip that saw the club 1-5 entering Sunday Night Baseball. The White Sox swept the Angels at home last week winning all three games.
