In their first meeting a week ago, the Cardinals won two of the three games. Milwaukee travels to St Louis after losing three of four at home to the Cubs scoring only 7 runs total. St Louis in their first home series dropped two of three to the Arizona Diamondbacks scoring one run in each defeat. Both pitcher struggled early on with Chacin carrying an ERA of 7.00 in two starts and Mikolas at 6.35 ERA in one start.
