At 7PM Eastern Time on MLB Network the Philadelphia Phillies host New York Yankees. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the road team New York Yankees favored by -130 odds with the return on the home underdog Philadelphia Phillies at +120 odds. Run total is lined at nine runs. Starting for the Phillies will be righthander Vince Velasquez to battle Yankees righty Jonathan Loaisiga. New York travels to Philadelphia after getting swept in a three game series at Tampa Bay. They struggled for runs in the first two defeats then got a bad outing by Domingo German and couldn’t win in extra innings. Loaisiga starts for the third time this season but has only averaged 4 1/3rd innings per outing. Velasquez has pitched poorly at home with an ERA of nearly seven on the season. Tough spot for the Phillies to have to travel from Washington DC after a night game on Sunday against the Nationals.

ESPN Monday Night Baseball begins at 10PM Eastern Time as the LA Dodgers host the Chicago Cubs. LA is favored by -136 odds with the return on the Chicago Cubs at +126 odds. It will be lefty Jon Lester on the mound for the Cubs to meet Dodgers righty Kenta Maeda. Dodgers return home after sweeping the New York Mets in a three game series over the weekend. The LA bats are hot scoring 21 runs in the three games and hitting seven homers on Sunday. Cubs were swept in a four game series at the Cincinnati Reds over the weekend. They couldn’t hold a 6-1 lead by allowing seven runs in the seventh. Cubs have won five straight when Lester has taken the hill. He shut out the Dodgers over seven innings in his last outing. Maeda has struggled going deep in games. He lasted only 3 2/3rd innings at Chicago in his last start allowing three runs but walking five Cubs batters. Dodgers are 20-19 at home on the season as they return home after a 4-2 road trip.
