The action begins at 2PM Eastern Time on MLB Network as the Minnesota Twins will host the Boston Red Sox. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the road team Boston Red Sox favored by -145 odds with the return on the Minnesota Twins at +135 odds. Run total is set at 9. Red Sox will start veteran Rick Porcello to oppose Twins righty Nick Tepesch. Porcello has been the victim of lack of run support in his past three starts where is 0-3 in 19 2/3rd innings with an ERA of 1.83. Boston has averaged just one run per game in that span. Tepesch makes his debut in 2017 on Saturday.

At 4:15PM Eastern Time on FOX Sports 1 it is the Kansas City Royals home to the Cleveland Indians. KC is favored by -110 odds with the return on the Indians at +100 odds. The run total is lined at 8. Starting for the Royals will be left hander Jason Vargas as he opposes Indians righty Josh Tomlin. Jason Vargas has been a bright spot for the Royals who are going through a miserable start to their season. The veteran lefty is 4-1 in five starts with an ERA of 1.42. His record is impressive despite the Royals giving him very little run support in his starts. Josh Tomlin like many of the Indians starters are struggling early in the season. Tomlin sits with an ERA of 8.87 in five starts and that is a shame since the Indians average 6 12 runs a game in his starts.

Two storied franchises meet on FOX at 7:15PM Eastern Time as the Chicago Cubs have a home date with the New York Yankees. Chicago is favored by -125 odds with the return on the New York Yankees at +115 odds. New York will send lefty Jordan Montgomery to the mound to battle Cubs lefty Brett Anderson. Yankees take Game 1 of this series 3-2 to move to 18-9 and remain in first place in the AL East. Cubs had their three game win streak snapped in defeat.
