Televised to most of the nation in prime time baseball on FOX will be the New York Mets at LA Dodgers. Nathan Eovaldi will be on the mound for LA and looking for his first win of the year. The Mets will counter with Johan Santana. A major slide for the LA Dodgers as the club after dropping game one of this series has lost nine of its past ten games and saw the San Francisco Giants take over first place by one game following Thursday night’s game.

It will be an American League west clash as the Oakland Athletics play at Texas. Tom Milone off two great starts is on the hill for Oakland as he opposes Justin Grimm for the Rangers. Milone has allowed one earned run total in his past two starts working a combined 16 innings.

A nice AL matchup will pit the Detroit Tigers playing at the Tampa Bay Rays. Tampa is scheduled to throw Jeremy Hellickson who makes his first start since his stint on the DL. Detroit sends Rick Porcello on the hill on Saturday to face the Rays batters.

The Arizona Diamondbacks continue their series at the Milwaukee Brewers. Michael Fiers starts for the Brewers as he faces a hot Wade Miley for the Diamondbacks. Miley has allowed one earned run in each of his past four starts working seven innings or greater in each game.

San Diego Padres will be looking for some offense as they visit the Colorado Rockies in NL west play. Christian Friedrich starts for Colorado and will face Padres opening day starter Edinson Volquez.

It will be an AL Central contest as the Kansas City Royals head north to face the Minnesota Twins. Scott Diamond pitches for Minnesota and he faces the struggling Jonathan Sanchez for the Royals. Sanchez has a 6.21 ERA for the season.
