Most of the country will get an American League West divisional showdown as the Texas Rangers will pay a visit to the LA Angels. Others will get an American League Central battle as the Chicago White Sox face their rivals the Detroit Tigers. All Star Chris Sale behind his 11-2 record and ERA of 2.11 this year will take the hill for the White Sox to face Rick Porcello for the Tigers. Porcello owns and ERA of nearly five this season. He was roughed up for five earned runs and eight hits in 5 2/3rd innings to the Angels on July 16.

In some areas it will be a National League encounter as the San Francisco Giants continue their east coast trip with a stop to face the Philadelphia Phillies. National League All Star starter Matt Cain takes the hill for the Giants to face Cole Hamels for the Phillies. Cain is just 1-4 lifetime against Philadelphia with an ERA of 3.42. At home on the year Hamels is 5-3 with an ERA of just 2.76.
