Kershaw threw Game 2 of the freeway series and escaped with a no decision as the hurler allowed three earned runs and seven hits as LA Dodgers beat the Angels 5-4. Jimmy Nelson is a recent call up who put up some monster numbers in Triple “A” Nashville. The Brewers hurler has a 2-2 record with an ERA of 4.20 working 30 innings. He has back to back quality starts entering play on Sunday.

ESPN Sunday Night Baseball will feature two NL East division contenders as the first place Washington Nationals will conclude their weekend road series with the Atlanta Braves. The teams begin play from Atlanta at 8PM Eastern Time on ESPN. The Nationals will send Gio Gonzalez their veteran lefty on the hill to battle Braves left hander Alex Wood. Gio is the weak link on a very good Washington starting staff. He has a record of 6-8 with an ERA of 4 on the season. Wood is 7-9 with Atlanta with an ERA of 3.20. The Braves starter has gotten no run support as he has allowed one earned run in his past two starts and has a no decision and loss to show for it.
