It all gets underway at 1:30PM Eastern Time on TBS TV as the Baltimore Orioles will play host to the Houston Astros. Getting the start for Houston will be Lance McCullers as he will oppose Orioles righty Dylan Bundy. Houston picked up some tough news this week as they found they will be without their starting shortstop Carlos Correa as he is sidelined for up to two months with a ligament injury to his thumb that is expected to require surgery. Correa was hitting .325 and had hit 20 home runs with 67 RBI’s. In the series opener on Friday night it was Alex Berman who moved from third base to shortstop and Colin Moran inserted into the starting lineup at third base. Moran after seeing limited action in 2016 made his 2017 debut with the Astros on Friday night. Fortunately for Houston the club is sitting over 30 games over .500 and no other team in the AL West is posting a record over .500. Both pitchers enter this matchup on Sunday in shaky form. The Astros are 0-3 in McCullers last three starts and the righthander has an ERA of 7.53 in those games. Bundy has allowed 12 earned runs over his past three starts working a total of 15 innings.

ESPN Sunday Night Baseball has a first pitch of 8PM Eastern Time as the Chicago Cubs will be home to the St Louis Cardinals. Michael Wacha takes the mound for St Louis to opposes Cubs lefty Jose Quintana. The Cubs had won their first six games since coming off the All Star Break to get near even with Milwaukee in the NL Central. Their loss to St Louis in the opener of this series broke the win streak. Wacha is in terrific work as the righthander is 4-0 in his past four starts allowing a total of three earned runs working a total of 26 2/3rd innings. Quintana made his debut with the Cubs on Sunday since being traded from the White Sox. It was a winning debut for the lefthander as he shut out the Baltimore Orioles on the road over seven innings allowing three hits in an 8-0 victory.
