The action begins at 1PM Eastern Time as most of the country will receive an AL East matchup as the New York Yankees are home to the Baltimore Orioles. The pitching matchup features right hander Ubaldo Jimenez on the hill for the Orioles to face Yankees right hander Masahiro Tanaka. The Orioles have lost three straight decisions in Jimenez’ past three starts for the team while the Yankees are 3-0 in Tanaka’s past three starts with New York. The Yankees have won the first two games of this series after their 4-3 home victory on Wednesday night.

Others will receive the Detroit Tigers hosting the Seattle Mariners at 1PM Eastern Time over MLB Network. The Tigers will throw lefty David Price to face Mariners right hander Hisashi Iwakuma. Price has been outstanding of late by holding his past three opponents to a total of two earned runs total over 22 innings. Iwakuma has won two straight decisions as the right hander has allowed two earned runs total tossing 13 2/3rd innings.

In prime time at 7PM Eastern Time over MLB Network most will receive the New York Mets at home hosting the LA Dodgers. The left hander Clayton Kershaw throws for LA to battle New York right hander Bartolo Colon. The Dodgers salvaged the final game of their three game series with Atlanta on Wednesday by posting a 3-1 victory. Kershaw has regained his Cy Young form of late by limiting his past four opponents to two earned runs total posting 31 innings of work. Colon looks to bounce back from a terrible start on July 18th as he surrendered seven earned runs in 4 1/3rd innings in a 12-2 road defeat at St Louis.

Other areas will receive the NL contender’s meetup between the Pittsburgh Pirates at Washington Nationals. The Nationals will start right hander Doug Fister on Thursday to meet Pirates lefty Francisco Liriano. The Pittsburgh starter has limited his past four opponents to two earned runs or less. Fister looks to bounce back from defeat on July 18th as he allowed four earned runs in five innings of work at home to the LA Dodgers.
