There will be regional action over national television. Some of the nation will receive at 7PM Eastern Time on MLB Network the Baltimore Orioles hosting the Minnesota Twins. The Twins will start right hander Tyler Duffey as he opposes Orioles right hander Miguel Gonzalez. The teams met for a three game series at Minnesota in early July with the Twins pulling out the three game sweep. Duffey has worked twice this season for the Twins. His first outing on August 5th he was crushed for six earned runs in two innings at Toronto. He settled down on August 15th as he held the Indians scoreless on one hit tossing six innings. Gonzalez is winless in his past four starts. He had a no decision on August 15th at home to Oakland giving up three earned runs in seven innings.

Others will receive at 7PM Eastern Time on MLB Network the Pittsburgh Pirates hosting the San Francisco Giants. Veteran right hander Jake Peavy takes the mound for the Giants to face Pirates right hander Charlie Morton. The Giants hosted the Pirates for a three game series in early June with Pittsburgh sweeping all three games. After a win at St Louis on Tuesday night the Giants have gotten hot winners of five of their past six games. The Giants are in a battle with the Dodgers for first place in the NL West. The way the Pirates, Cardinals and Cubs are playing looks like the second place finisher in the NL West could be left out of the playoffs.

The late night game goes off at 10PM Eastern Time as the LA Angels will be home to the Chicago White Sox over MLB Extra Innings channel. Jose Quintana will throw for the White Sox as he opposes Angels right hander Nick Tropeano. Last week, the White Sox swept the Angels at home in a three game series. Through the first two games of this series in Anaheim and Angels have won each after a 5-3 home win on Tuesday.
