There will be day baseball. Beginning at 1PM Eastern Time on MLB Network the Minnesota Twins will host the Milwaukee Brewers. The Twins will start right hander Ervin Santana as he will oppose Brewers righty Wily Peralta. Minnesota was off to a horrible start as they entered last weekend with a record of 0-9. The Angels came into town and the Twins earned a three game series sweep. The Twins finally scored some runs. The pitching has kept the team in gams but they have had trouble all year getting over three runs scored. Two of the victories were one run decisions as they win Friday 5-4 and Sunday 3-2. Their first victory by more than one run was on Saturday but it was still a nail biting 6-4 decision. Milwaukee opens this interleague series on Monday with a record of 5-7. On this road trip they are 2-4 losing two of three games at the St Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates. Peralta is off to a terrible start for Milwaukee with a record of 0-3 and ERA of 10.12 with WHIP over 2. The right hander has been shelled in all three starts. The Twins are 0-3 in all three of Santana’s starts. He has not gotten enough run support from his teammates.

At 8PM Eastern Time on MLB Network the St Louis Cardinals are hosting the Chicago Cubs. Scheduled to start will be right hander Jason Hammel for the Cubs to face Cardinals lefty Jaime Garcia. The Cubs are looking to rebound after losing two of three at home over the weekend to Colorado. Hammel is 1-0 on the year with an ERA of 0.75. On this home stand the Cardinals have took two of three games against the Brewers and Reds. Jaime Garcia has been plagued by injuries in his Major League Baseball career. In his two starts he is 1-0 with an ERA of 2.50 and a very good WHIP of 0.67.
